25.01.2022 There were so many magic moments today at Music on Flinders starting with the amazing performance by Buffalo Drive back together after 50 years and bringing their music to Adelaide again. There were jaw dropping 6 part harmonies, rip roaring vocals by front man Rod Boucher, foot tapping singalong songs, dancing and smiles all around. What a great start to the working week! Make sure you check out Buffalo Drive's Fringe show 'The Evolution of Buffalo Drive' at the Norwood Function Centre on March 9th and 14th.

24.01.2022 If you've watched any of the Pilgrim services online (or by Zoom) that included online Communion, the UCA Assembly would love to hear from you by taking part in a survey designed to gather information about people's experience of participating in, or abstaining from, online communion services during this period of COVID 19 isolation. (Scroll down for links) At the special Assembly Standing Committee meeting held in April 2020, the ASC resolved to: Approve permission for Uniti...ng Church congregations to hold online gatherings for worship with Holy Communion in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Assembly Standing Committee. The Assembly Standing Committee also determined that: These arrangements should be seen as a temporary pastoral measure for the period of COVID-19 isolation measures, and that they would conclude no later than March 2021 or until the Assembly Standing Committee advises otherwise. Feedback from the survey will feed into a report for the November 2020 meeting of the ASC. 23.01.2022 Our first 9.30am livestreaming service, from August 16th 2020. (The pre-recorded video of the service is also online on the Pilgrim Uniting Church Adelaide youtube channel) The exquisite Communion Motet by the 11am choir was to bless Bronwen (also a member of the choir) for her 'reaffirmation of baptism' that was a highlight of the 9.30am service.

17.01.2022 Buffalo Drive Alive performed a rocking set at Music on Flinders today to a great enthusiastic record breaking crowd of music lovers. The newly reformed band performed an irresistible set of songs including harmony laced folk songs from the 60s through to foot tapping 70s rock. Led by the irrepressible Rod Boucher on lead vocals, acoustic guitar and bango, with Bodzac on drums and vocals, Grimy on twelve string acoustic guitar, electric bass and vocals, Jacko on acoustic bass, keyboard and vocals, Peter Farley on acoustic guitar, lead guitar and vocals and Georgina Nou on vocals, Buffalo Drive Alive rocked Flinders Street.

04.01.2022 The Uniting Church emblem was wheeled through the streets of Adelaide to Synod Head Office last week! It had been at Pilgrim for a number of years.

04.01.2022 Earth Overshoot Day - when we’ve used more resources this year than earth produces. August 22 - later this year (partly due to COVID19). Ring the bells.

04.01.2022 9.30am and 11am services are live-streamed each Sunday. Thinking of congregations in Victoria now in Stage 4 lockdown. Thankfully COVID was a catalyst for fast tracking online services. First week back for ‘in person’ worship in many Sydney churches. This COVID time is complex, and ever changing, but so great to know that in the ebb and flow there are churches reaching out in prayer and practical support across state borders.

04.01.2022 The 9.30am community worship service on 23rd August has a special focus on Migrant and Refugee Sunday in the Uniting Church. The online service is already posted on the Pilgrim Uniting Church Adelaide YouTube channel. The ‘live’ service on Sunday morning will include Andrew Clarke sharing his connections with a refugee family, and Meredith Edwards and Libby Hogarth speaking with two refugees - one from Iran who arrived many years ago, and a more recent refugee from Aleppo, ...Syria. Looking forward to a meaningful service. All welcome. https://youtu.be/NY_SVZUElKI

02.01.2022 Come along and enjoy Evensong this Saturday 5 September at 5pm. A welcome peaceful and beautiful time with superbly chosen works for choir and organ.
