24.01.2022 We are excited to introduce some more local wines to our menu - and they are all from the Tasmanian Tamar Valley! Sip wine and dine on Hake marinara Mornay pie or our weekly Sunday Roast at the Pilot Station cafe (in the photo) while looking out at the Tamar River. We can be found at Low Head Pilot Station. . 23.01.2022 TOMORROW (TUESDAY 18 August) around noon, the FOGHORN at the LOW HEAD LIGHTHOUSE will sound. Its been quite a while since the foghorn was heard performing its... usual Sundays at noon ritual, and the volunteers who make this happen have been busy doing necessary maintenance and making some adjustments in the down time. Parks and Wildlife has given approval for this Tuesdays sounding in order to test these out, and we trust that no-one is inconvenienced by this. If all goes according to plan, the Foghorn Sunday soundings will resume in September and the Low Head Pilot Station Maritime Museum MAY also be reopened to the public by the beginning of next month. The Pilot Station Support Group is meeting with Volunteers this Wednesday and more definite advice will be posted here following that.

The Low Head Pilot Station Management Team is on the lookout for the following legends to join them at the Low Head Pilot Station Café & Accommodation Precinct:... An experienced housekeeper/cleaner for the upcoming Christmas period, varied hours and days on a casual basis. An experienced front of house superstar with previous barista experience (or a passion to learn coffee) is essential. You must be willing to work a range of days, evenings and events and have (or be willing to get) your RSA. This will offer 10 hours a week minimum for the summer season. An experienced hospitality allrounder with a passion for food, with prior experience in either front or back of house. This role will involve front of house work but would also suit a keen baker or someone who has worked in kitchens before. Hours would range between 25 - 38 hours a week depending on demand.
