25.01.2022 Our P&C has partnered up with Holiday Ham Drive to provide our school community with quality ham and smallgoods leading into Christmas. Simply order your products from http://www.holidayhamdrive.com.au/ and select the Pilton State School as your delivery option. It is also a great way to support Pilton Valley Pork! Orders close on Friday 14th of November and are able to be collected from the Pilton State School on Friday the 4th December from 3pm.
25.01.2022 We have had a fantastic first day and night on camp! Orienteering, astronomy and a camp-fire were good, but the food was the best!

25.01.2022 Congratulations to our school leaders who were Runners Up (by 2 points) at the Clifton Shows "Battle of the Brains!" We are very proud of our school leaders and would like to invite our entire school community to join us for an investiture and School Leaders Morning Tea this Friday the 21st Feb at 9am.
24.01.2022 Last week, we started a new school lunch cooperative with Wild Sage Collective at Allora. Students will be able to order healthy delicious meals on some Fridays and the first day of lunches was a success! Thanks to the great staff at Wild Sage for making this available for our students.
23.01.2022 Our second day and night on camp has continued a great experience for us all. We have been focusing on teamwork with the low ropes course, some fantastic games, an adventure in the Aussie bush that helped students identify features of their environment, a super art lesson and some yabbying in the mud!

17.01.2022 Early Term 1 Break The Term 1 break will now begin next Monday 30 March 2020 for students. Schools will remain open for next week for students of essential workers, that is workers who are required in their workplace. Teachers will undertake professional development and prepare resources for Term 2.... School will resume on Monday 20 April unless health advice determines otherwise. 16.01.2022 Thanks to a fantastic local tradesman, our STEAM Shed (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) has just received some custom-made furniture to support the engineering, coding and robotics activities that our students have opportunities to undertake. Check out the school leaders project that they have designed - a unique laser-engraved chess board with bespoke 3-D printed pieces!

13.01.2022 I'm sure it will not come as a surprise to the fantastic parents of our school, but we are super impressed at how well these children can clean up after themselves and keep their rooms... or tents tidy .
13.01.2022 Great work by all the students who entered school work in the Clifton Show! It was excellent to see so many awards on parade on Friday. It was also a highlight from last week to have our Prep-Year 2 class mixing substances to create a volcano. Classic primary school science at its best! Thank-you Miss Ryan and Miss Stewart for your great efforts when educating our students.
13.01.2022 It was great to celebrate the achievements of our students on parade last Friday. The year 4/5 students were awarded a certificate of achievement for undertaking an extension program in reading comprehension and Amelie and Charles received special recognition for their collaboration with the Queensland Virtual STEM Academy in an Introduction to Chemistry course.

11.01.2022 We had some fun today setting up for our last English unit for the semester. We are making stop-motion animations of our narratives and were inspired to see if we could use a Challenge as Lego Mini-Masters to make this even more enjoyable!

11.01.2022 Thanks to the great staff at Glengallan Homestead HOME PAGE for making our recent visit an enjoyable and educational experience for our students! We had a great time visiting the house that was built in 1867 as a part of our History lessons. Everyone thought the puppets during the lesson about the history of the property were amazing!!

06.01.2022 We recently had a great day at the Warwick and District Historical Society Inc - Museum Complex. Students across all grades at our school are learning about life in the 1800s this term and it was wonderful to be able to have them engage in this real-life learning opportunity.
06.01.2022 Just a quick reminder that this Friday we are holding our first of 2 transition days for Prep students commencing in 2021. It would be great for students to be at school from 9am until 12pm this Friday and give them the chance to join in our Playgroup and share morning tea before spending an hour with their teacher and classmates for 2021. We are keen to provide the best experience we can to create a successful start to formal schooling for the wonderful little people joining us for Prep. 06.01.2022 One more quick post from our recent STEAM Day. We have had fast CO2 Cars before, but never seen one race the track in less than 1 second.... let alone go 0.9 seconds while sideways!! Nice one Cobey!
06.01.2022 We are very excited about the Pilton Community Christmas Tree at the hall next Friday night. The Pilton State School Band will be performing and we will showcase performances that we have been working on in our Dance and Drama lessons this term. The dedicated hall committee have ensured that this event can go ahead this year and we look forward to a great evening!

This work has been conducted in partnership with the Queensland Virtual STEM Academy, and we are super proud to have had the opportunity to take part in this great learning experience.

We have had some great riders over the years and these two girls are no exception. Well done to the ‘ground crew’ that supported these little champions also!
01.01.2022 On Monday 11 May 2020, Kindy, Prep, Year 1, Years 11 & 12 students will return to their state school or community kindergarten, joining childre...n of essential workers, vulnerable children, and children in designated Indigenous communities. All other students will continue to learn at home. If low transmission rates continue, students in Years 2 10 will return to school from Monday 25 May. 01.01.2022 Learning@Home may be over for students of our school, but we continue to engage with experts through the use of web conferencing and online collaboration. Today we partnered with the QLD Virtual STEM Academy to commence our CSIRO Blue Crest Science Projects for students in the Year 3-6 class. Potatoes powering digital clocks... who knew?!
