20.01.2022 Long reign the Queen of Punk... . . Age is no barrier to this fashion legend. At 79 years of age she is set to appear at LFW to showcase her latest modern punk collection. .... Whilst this style may not be everyone’s cup of tea , you can only admire her tenacity & longevity in the cut throat world of fashion. . She has been awarded British Fashion Designer of the Year multiple times & was made a Dame in 2006 for her services to the UK fashion industry. . From working class roots she abandoned a jewellery making course not thinking she could make a career in art due to her social standing. So, she became a teacher & sold her jewellery at the markets on Portobello Road. . It wasn’t until she started making clothes for a boutique on Kings Road that she became noticed. . She’s a political activist in regards to climate change, nuclear disarmament & civil rights causes. . In addition, she’s a mother to 2 sons; one of whom is the founder of lingerie brand Agent Provocateur. . There are 2 iconic Westwood moments I’d like to note. . Remember that time when a young Naomi Campbell fell whilst on the catwalk? That happened during a Vivienne Westwood show wearing crazy high platform shoes. . Sex & the City fans how can we forget Carrie’s wedding dress . There was such a buzz about what she would wear & Vivienne did not disappoint. Going down in history as one of the best gowns of all time. . Gotta love Vivienne & her legacy which she’s still building. . . . . . #pimpmyoutfit #perthpersonalshopper #viviennewestwood #londonfashionweek #sexandthecitystyle #carriebradshaw #naomicampbell #wabusiness #styleme #passionproject #perthfashion #womeninfocus #smallbizsquad #perthgram See more

15.01.2022 Burberry- first cab off the rank at London Fashion Week . . This British luxury fashion house is mostly known for its trench coats & has come a long way since its creation in 1856. .... Remarkably, it’s founder Thomas Burberry was only 21 years of age when he founded this iconic brand. Initially it focused upon outdoor attire & he trademarked in 1901. . It’s certainly gone through hard times & had to reinvent itself to maintain its status. . Think back to the early 2000s, counterfeit goods using the Burberry logo were everywhere. My fellow poms referred to this look as ‘chav’ & it totally undermined & cheapened the business. . It make a resurgence later that decade mainly due to the introduction of online shopping & strategic engagement of the Chinese fashion market. . In 2018, it was revealed to have destroyed unsold items worth over 90 million GBP in efforts to protect its items from being sold cheaply & hurt the brand. . This practice ceased later that year. . Records indicate revenue to be 2.63 billion GPB . . Burberry is certainly a survivor & I can’t wait to see what’s on offer during their showing. . . . . . #pimpmyoutfit #perthpersonalshopper #stylehelp #perthfashionblogger #aussiefashionservices #womeninbiz #perthsmallbusiness #burberry #londonfashionweek #sociallyemcourse See more

London Fashion Week starts this evening (Aussie time) & has been modified to mainly digital activations on the LFW platform. There are a few physical shows happening in accordance with social distancing requirements. . It’s one of the big four fashion shows in the world alongside Milan, Paris & New York. . 11.01.2022 No wonder Dorothy loved red shoes.... . Spring tends to be great during the day but still a bit chilly at night; especially along the coast. . This is such an easy look to pull together no matter what age or body type you are. A white oversized shirt & denim bottoms are your BFF. ... . Add in a biker jacket which is so timeless & flattering to those with a larger chest size, for the perfect clothing base. . Now comes the pop of colour. Style with a bright red pair of shoes. Block or stiletto heel it doesn't matter. Finish with a plain black handbag, modern shaped sunnies, small earrings & either a watch or plain metal bangle. , Its the look that is so easy to put together & is perfect to flounce in for those evening meals or drink catch ups. 01.01.2022 Nobody puts cobalt blue in the corner... . . This medium shade of blue is such a beautiful bright colour which can hold its own worn plain without any print needed. .... Suiting every skin tone, if you wear this colour close to your face (scarf, top, headband) your complexion will instantly brighten. . Its a classic colour to wear as a dress & will last you years; leaving you to simply update your accessories. . You can match with other colours like black, navy, white, yellow plus metallics. . For spring I wear mine with silver strappy shoes & bag, & with crystal sparkly long earrings. In winter, I wear it with patent black or velvet strap shoes & clutch, with a black fur scarf for more formal events. . The Real Housewives of Cheshire have all followed the principle that the colour itself is the show stopper & accessories can be metallic but used sparingly. . Anyone need convincing? . bravo tv . . . . . #pimpmyoutfit #fashionista #realhousewives #perthstylesource #perthsmallbiz #cobalt #keepitsimple #champagnelover #glam #virtualshoppingstylist #passionproject #styleover40 #metallicshoes #sociallyemcourse See more
