20.01.2022 A message received today from one of our parents: "Massive thank you to Donna Gates, Michael Crandon and the Gold Coast City Council for taking our kids’ safety seriously. New bollards installed at both ends of the footpath under the M1 so cars can no longer get through. Shout out to Main Roads department too who, although this issue was a local government one, worked with council to get it sorted quickly." https://www.facebook.com/CrDonnaGatesDivision1/ https://www.facebook.com/MichaelCrandonMP/

17.01.2022 Petrina Scott This P & C Day 2020 I would like to acknowledge the substantial contribution Steve & Petrina Scott have made to Pimpama State School and the school community over the last 19 years. The support given to our school has been consistent, dependable and invaluable. I feel quite inadequate only being around for 11 years, but in that time I have seen Steve & Petrina's names appear many times in archived records of past P & C Executive roles held, involvement in fundra...ising events, and working bees. More recently, Steve is always on hand to help setup substantial events, Petrina has organised and run very successful annual 2nd Hand Stalls, and co-ordinates the annual Christmas Box Appeal at the school. Much of their generous support flies under the radar, but is very much valued and appreciated. "The act of giving without the expectation of something in return is the true definition of kindness." - Author Unknown. Thank you for everything! #PandCDay2020 See more

16.01.2022 Julie Priest has been been our Uniform Shop Convenor for the past 5 years from 2015 to 2019. Negotiating new suppliers, implementing our school bags, library bags, socks and most recently the new jackets and track pants. Julie has long been the friendly face greeting new families to our school, but has stepped down from the role this year due to work commitments. Julie's commitment to our school continues however with her stepping up to the P & C Executive position of Secretary. Thank you for all your hard work and achievements in the Uniform Shop and thank you for taking on your new role. You are very much appreciated xx #PandCDay2020
16.01.2022 ** Today is Tuckshop Day ** The daily efforts of our canteen convenor and the valued volunteers who support our students and our school have been amazing this year. We should remember to say please and thank you every day, but on Tuckshop Day we say a very special thank you to this wonderful team. Our tuckshop provides a great service that helps out families and staff who have to juggle many different tasks at the start of each day and some good food helps the students study and play through the day. We don’t take their hard work for granted and it is great to see parents and grandparents putting up their hands and getting involved with our school. Thank you everyone.

11.01.2022 The incident this afternoon on Yawalpah Rd involved a young student from our school. He was struck by a car while crossing the road. Our thoughts and prayers are with the young man and his family. Some of our students may have witnessed the incident this afternoon. If any students need to debrief or speak with anyone tomorrow at school our Guidance Officer will be available. Pimpama State Secondary College have offered their Guidance Officer as well should any of the children need support. This is a good moment to remind all of our young people about being careful on the roads.
09.01.2022 Cristy Osborne has been a valued volunteer at our school for the past 6 years including several years as the Canteen Covenor, a willing member of Auction and Fundraising Committees and happy to help where ever help is needed. Her role as the unofficial 2IC in the canteen last year has been a tremendous help to Amber in establishing a profitable business centre. Cristy also held the P & C Executive role of Secretary for the last 2 years but has stepped down and is now the Uniform Shop Convenor for 2020. Thank you for everything you do for our school Cristy xx #PandCDay2020

The business will be promoted weekly within our school community & will appear on the big screens during the Auction, they will also be helping to raise much needed funds for our school.
06.01.2022 How strange to not have an Auction this year? * No organisation * No approaching businesses to donate goods & services * No buying prizes for classroom stalls... * No baking * No volunteering on class stalls * No spending money on the day at class stalls * No bidding on auction lots * No secondhand stall, plant stall, BBQ * No family fun * No money raised for the school A very good reason to make our Colour Run an amazing success for our kids, give them a rainbow to remember in 2020. Please get involved and raise funds online at www.schoolfunrun.com.au
