25.01.2022 Todays job is brought to you by a little oopsie that were seeing a lot more of. This bad boy had diesel fuel put into the system, on multiple occasions, and as a result were having to pull the tank out to clean her out and flush the fuel system of the contaminants. Why are we doing this? Shes not happy, wont run and shell let you know about it! Were seeing a lot of diesel vehicles with petrol in them coming through, this time though its the other way around. Mismatc...hing fuel with a vehicle can cause catastrophic engine damage, which leaves you massively out of pocket and saying hooroo to your best mate on the roads. Take a second, read the label inside the fuel cap if youre unsure, especially if its not your own car and youre not used to it. - Michael

15.01.2022 HAudi there, car fans. Have we got a treat for you! And nah I didnt burn food, dont get too excited. This is what happens when you dont get regular oil changes. Yeah nah I know my car wont save your engine when its blocked up with hardened sludge, which develops as a result of a lack of oil changes. Best way to prevent it? Engine oil and oil filter change, we set our intervals to every 5,000km so this doesnt happen. Theres not a lot you can do when your engine gets ...like this. Luckily, the car still goes well enough, but shell never be the same. Book in for a service, its worth it long term! Afterpay is available too, weve got you covered!

08.01.2022 We love when a car brakes, but we dont love it when car brakes break. My heart hurts for this little Civic but shes getting DBA rotors and Bendix brake pads, nice little treat for it. A vehicles braking system can withstand a LOT, as far as pressure, temperature and heat are concerned. This bad boy hit its limit, and as a result, is quite dangerous to drive, hence why shes getting a bit of TLC Swing by for a check over on your brakes, we dont want to see this happen t...o you! - Michael

05.01.2022 Heres one for you, one of those age related issues that comes up and can cause you some dramas. Like my back problem that wont quite go away but nah shell be right. Got a little issue with the car stalling/losing power when coming to a stop. Pulled a spark plug and found it and the ignition coil attached to it, covered in engine oil. Didnt happen out of nowhere, the spark plug tube seals inside the valve cover had hardened with age and heat exposure, unavoidable and it h...appens to the best of us. If you check a spark plug and it has oil in the tube with it, that will be why. 95% of the time, the valve cover has to come off and if the tube seals are done, high chance the cover gasket will be too. Runs a lot smoother now with new NGK spark plugs and no oil contamination. Happy. Days. - Michael
