25.01.2022 Notice of Annual General Meeting The Executive Management Committee of PRUSC Inc wish to notify all members that the Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 29 March 2020 at the clubhouse, 188 Samsonvale Rd, Strathpine at 10:00 am The Executive Management Committee wish to advise that the following positions will be vacant at the meeting and hereby call for nominations ... Treasurer Applications for all positions need to be in the hands of the Secretary by 11:59pm Sunday 15 March 2020. If no written nominations are received by this time, nominations will be called form the floor at the Annual General Meeting. Application forms for both positions are available upon request from the secretary at [email protected] , from our website or in hard copy of the club. Any motions for discussions should be submitted to the secretary a minimum 1 week prior to the AGM to ensure inclusion on the agenda. The Agenda will be released on 22 March 2020.

21.01.2022 Please note - Paddy Thoburn's funeral will be held at 3:30pm on Friday 14 February at Traditional Funerals Chapel, located at 636 Morayfield Rd, Burpengary. Condolences are extended to the Thoburn's family from the PRUSC Inc family.

17.01.2022 The Executive of Pine Rivers United Sports Club Inc would love to give a great big shout out to the Queensland Government's Sport and Recreation Department for making available their 'COVID Safe Active Clubs Kickstart' grants program. We were recently advised that we were successful in our application!!! Thanks heaps Sport and Rec - your support and assistance during this COVID time is very much appreciated!!!... Looking forward to seeing sport being played out on the fields and courts soon!!

13.01.2022 Members of the PRUSC Executive were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Founder Member Barry West. Barry passed away on 13 April with Barrys family celebrating his life at a COVID19 restricted funeral on 20 April. Barry and wife Jan were Founder Life Members of PRUSC. He served on the Junior Committee and was also a Delegate to the BNDJSA, a Junior Team Manager and, a keen supporter of the Senior Predator team. ... Barry, you will be sorely missed by all those who knew you.

08.01.2022 More Sad News.... The Club wishes to announce the passing of Harry Rhule, father of current President Gary Rhule, and long serving player, John (JR) Rhule. Harry and Mary Rhule (also deceased), came to the Pine Rivers area in 1973, bringing four boys that all played,coached and served on committees over the years. John was the shining light, playing premier league, and Harry and Mary were always on the side lines at Wendy Allison watching him.... Brothers, Mark and Steven also played many games here before moving to other pursuits. Harry was put to rest in a private funeral due to Covid-19 restrictions earlier this week. Rest in Peace Scrapper!!!

07.01.2022 The Executive of Pine Rivers United Sports Club Inc (PRUSC) would like to give a HUUUUUGE shout out to MBRC for their great support of community organisations through their COVID-19 Community Infrastructure Revitalisation Grant. Like many, many other sporting and community groups within the Council area, PRUSC were successful in their application for $38 000 worth of grants for a number of improvement works around the club. These works include - ... * Brand new 900 mm black chain wire permitter fence around Field 1 * Brand new top of the line security system for the club house and all facilities * Installation of a new retaining wall near the 'Pig Pen' viewing area * Installation of guttering to the Rivers Room * Repairs and upgrades to the dugouts on Filed 1 * Painting We really appreciate and value the support given to us by Moreton Bay Regional Council during these unprecedented times. We hope that all members, user groups, friends and family of PRUSC enjoy these facility upgrades!!

06.01.2022 Great work Queensland in flattening the curve - as a result, we are reopening today (10 June 2020)!!! The Executive are pleased to announce that from 2:00pm today, the club house will be re-open and we warmly welcome back members, friends and family. Please note though, while we are open, it's not quite back to BAU and there are a few restrictions that we must adhere to in order to be compliant with COVID19 safety plans. The biggest is the fact that we can only have up to 20 ...people inside the club at the one time. Some other new considerations are - * If asked, you must be prepared to be temperature tested * You must be prepared to give your name, address and phone number (all information will be held privately) * You cannot approach the bar for drinks, you will be served at your designated table * You must try to remain in your 4 sq meter area and try and mainatin at least 1.5 meters distance from another person * Where possible, only one person at a time in the toilets. All these and more, are now requirements by State Government law; Fail to adhere to these rules, and you may be asked to leave. Sport has a slightly different list of protocols, and all user groups at this venue are implementing those requirements. We suggest you refer to their individual websites for further information. Sanitizer is freely available at many parts of the club. We look forward to seeing you all back at the club some time soon!!

06.01.2022 Mark the date in your diary - 10 June 2020.... All things going to plan, the club should be reopening for all the PRUSC United friends and family!!! Sports set to be returning to the pitches and courts on Monday 15 June....

01.01.2022 Merry Xmas everybody!!!

01.01.2022 The Executive of PRUSC sadly advise that IAN STEELE passed away peacefully on 27 July 2019. Ian Steele was a player and coach for Pine Rivers United Sports Club for many years. He will be very much missed by past and present members, players and coaches.... Ians Funeral will be held this Thursday 1 August at the Uniting Church, 36 Passage Street, Cleveland at 1:00pm.
