21.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for your contribution to our Kids for Jesus End-of-Year picnic and gift-giving. As part of our service this morning, we shared a Bible story with the children and gave out gifts, followed by games, bubbles, sausage sizzle and swim. We were blessed with a beautiful day and precious friendships. Thanks to our heavenly Father for this special day.

19.01.2022 Celebrating 14 years since our inauguration. We open our hearts to those who would seek a safe place to worship and walk in Gods grace. Thanks to God for his blessings and to all those who have shared the journey.

19.01.2022 This thought ties in perfectly with Duncan Heaster's words on Sunday about the Good News of the Gospel ~ that if we are 'in Christ' there is NO more condemnation for us, God's grace HAS saved us and we WILL live forever! If we truly believe this, our whole way of life and who we are cannot help but be transformed from the inside out, not from fear, or an obligation of HAVING to do the right thing or striving to do enough to 'get there', but in a thankful response of gratitude and awe to God's AMAZING Grace and Love! ... Have a wonderful week friends

18.01.2022 Christmas arrangements: Due to the large number of our PR family being away over the next few weeks, there will be no services for the next three weeks over the holiday period. Our services will resume at Glenwood Hall on Sunday 14th January 2018. On behalf of everyone at Pine Rivers, I would like to thank those who have participated and contributed to our spiritual community at Pine Rivers over the past year in so many different ways, and generally for supporting and nurturing faith and sweet fellowship within our special family of believers. We pray that our Heavenly Father will open opportunities to share the message of hope to our wider community, and to strengthen our faith and enthusiasm for His Word.

15.01.2022 For those who were unable to share our fellowship yesterday, here is a taste of the impromtu discussion we held on the Christmas story in Matthew 2. We often forget, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, that Jesus and his family were refugees, forced to flee to Egypt to escape the cruel excesses of Herod. However, just as in many places today, refugees were not particularly welcome in Egypt, and they rel...ied heavily on the goodwill and kindness of strangers. Jesus memory of being a refugee and stranger in a place far from home seems to have influenced many of His teachings e.g. during his missionary journeys, Jesus adopted the life of a sojourner with nowhere to lay his head, and asked His disciples to travel without money or extra clothing, just like refugees who, as we see today, flee with nothing but the clothes on their backs. As a people imbued with the heart and mission of Jesus, are we being called to identify with and care for the refugee, the immigrant and those that are outside our familiar circle? See more

15.01.2022 In 1 Corinthians 13 we are shown the definition of love. It is a doing word. Some times it's difficult to picture how 'love' would respond in some situations... here a just a few examples to get you thinking, from the book 'Only Love Today' by Rachel Macy Stafford... may we all get up tomorrow and make a renewed effort to DO only love today, to BE only love today. Just as GOD IS LOVE. "What would love do? I ask myself as I look in the mirror and start picking myself apart.... Love would look past the reflection and say, Look how far Ive come. Love would say, Im grateful for another day. What would love do when my growing child comes down the stairs wearing an angry scowl? Love would open its arms and say, Getting up is hard, I know. Love would hold its tongue. Love would give a little more time and a little extra grace. What would love do when its obvious my spouse forgot to do something important? Love would take a deep breath and then say, Its okay. I forget things too. Love would see all the things he remembers and thank him for that. What would love do when ugliness fills my newsfeed, stands behind me grumbling in line, or cuts me off in traffic? Love would not join in. Love would negate it by being kind to the coworker with sad eyes or helping the neighbor with heavy burdens. What would love do when finances, commitments, duties, and demands make it hard to breathe? Love would lower the bar. Love would let something go. Love would ban the phrase I should, and say, Good enough for today. What would love do when hate-filled words and cliques build barriers that keep people out? Love would look for the lonely, excluded, and alienated. Love would reach out a hand and say, Come as you are. Theres a place for you here. Today I want to look like love. I want to sound like love. I want to speak like love. Today I want to BE love -- Not the shiny, perfectly worded, flashy and flowery love that comes and goes with special occasions or when its convenient. I want to be the messy, genuine, put in the effort, feel it in your bones, come as you are, kind of love. I want to be the Show Up kind of love that is found where it is least expected and when it is most needed. I want to be the love that pauses before speaking, sees pain behind the smile, and doesnt wonder whats in it for me. I want to be the mountain-moving type of love that cultivates hope and makes good things possible. I want to be the kind of love that silences hate talk, breaks down barriers, and cannot be contained by chains or cages. I can be anything today. I want to be love. How about you?" Rachel Macy Stafford from #onlylovetoday

14.01.2022 Our Easter celebrations this year, subdued due to social distancing restrictions required of us, allow for a deeper reflection and contemplation on the wondrous and powerful love of Jesus, and the vibrant message of hope which His resurrection delivers to all. Wishing you all a safe and meaningful Easter, enclosed in the safety of your homes, just like the ancient Passover, which is being celebrated this week. May we find comfort in the Passover story of protection, survival, exodus and freedom. Be blessed in Gods presence and faithfulness till we meet face-to-face again.

12.01.2022 To all family and friends of Pine Rivers Worship Centre, may you enjoy a safe and uplifting Christmas season, with time to meditate on the true meaning of Christ in us, and the hope of glory in Him. No Sunday services will be held at Glenwood Hall over the next three weeks, with our Worship service recommencing on Sunday 12th January at 10am. As we rest and recuperate from the busyness of the past year, may we be refreshed in hope and spirit for the new year.

11.01.2022 Dear PR family and friends, In line with further government restrictions on gatherings in halls announced yesterday, all our Sunday services and group gatherings are suspended from this Sunday until further notice. An email has been sent to all members and regular visitors with information on how to access online services. Let us continue to pray earnestly, meditate on Gods word regularly, and thank Him for the blessings that touch our lives everyday, especially the wonde...rful hope of peace and salvation in the Kingdom age. Take care everyone, stay safe, wash your hands, keep in touch and trust that our loving Father will envelop, strengthen and protect us in body. mind and spirit to get through the difficult weeks ahead. Feel free to share any encouraging words or thoughts to help build our faith and find comfort in His love. See more

10.01.2022 Hi Everyone hope your week is travelling well! ... just a few thoughts in relation to last Sundays topic of anger ... So often when someones anger is directed towards us, it really has very little to do with us at all!
