24.01.2022 Yum, these choc cherry and double choc cherry slices are sooo good!

21.01.2022 Wildlife Wednesday!! Now that the weather is warming up we have lots of weird and wonderful beetles and insects around! These are Brown and black Rosechafers, otherwise known as a Fiddler beetles, on a rice flower bush!

19.01.2022 We will be open this FRIDAY 10am - 2pm, and SATURDAY - 10am - 3pm for cherry picking! As noted in our previous posts, these cherries are 95% split due to the high rainfall, so we are selling for $8/kg, however they are still delicious to eat, cook with and make jam or juice with! Please wear appropriate footwear as it is a bit muddy and slippery due to the rain. Thanks to all who have come and enjoyed their day out this week!

19.01.2022 The end of the fruit season is upon us and this weekend - the 24th and 25th April - will be our last weekend of the season! No booking required, no entry fee, open 10am - 3pm Remember to bring your own reusable bags or you can purchase ours for $2. Looking forward to a beautiful weekend to end the season.

17.01.2022 We have decided that we will OPEN on SATURDAY 1st May for picking Granny Smith Apples. Due to the Hawkesbury show, there was crazy traffic down the hill on the weekend and many people who wanted to come for Granny smith apples were unable to make it up! We will open 10am - 3pm on SATURDAY ONLY. We will also have other varieties of apples for sale in our shop, as well as honey, jams, walnuts and other local produce.... Please bring your own reusable bags or you can purchase ours for $2 each. See more

03.01.2022 Thankyou all who came today, and braved the long wait times, and apologies for those that made the effort to come all the way up only to be told there was no fruit, we understand how disappointing that must have been. There are a lot of people who are calling for us to implement a booking system, so I really wanted to clarify why we dont do this. If we were to introduce a booking system, we would need to charge enough per head so that if people don't turn up, we are still so...mewhat covered, usually this is $20/$25 per head before you even buy the fruit. To many families, just like my own, this is just not affordable. So our orchard then becomes somewhere that only people with money can afford to go, and that's not what Pine Crest is about. Our orchard should be accessible to everyone. As many of you probably know, I love to have a quick chat with everyone, especially kids! Many today came back with only a few pieces of fruit, but one boy was excited because he saw a monarch butterfly, and a dragonfly! Someone else saw some really pretty flowers, and one family had never seen where fruit actually came from. To share what we have with everyone is so special, please know that it is not our intention to disappoint, or upset people, farming is a labor of love, and we want people to experience the beauty of it, just like we get to every day.
