23.01.2022 Our revised approach to COVID -19 As COVID-19 continues to evolve and impact our community we have needed to review and adjust our approach to funerals here at Pinegrove First and foremost is our ongoing care and concern for our clients and our employees. As the government announced this morning that there is a ban on all non-essential social gatherings of more than 100 people, we have had to adjust how we provide funeral services. With this is mind we are now planning funer...als that will have no more than 100 people in attendance. We will encourage people to use our live streaming service. We will also need to close access to our chapels once we have reached the capacity of 100 and trust those denied entry will understand our need to do so. We understand that this is challenging. Coming together in a time of grief to show love and support is an important part of our grief journey. So, it will feel unusual to keep our physical distance from those we want to support. It is important that we all adjust and use other methods of communication to express our love and support for those we grieve with. See more

23.01.2022 As from today there has been an easing on restrictions regarding the number of people that can attend a funeral service. Twenty people are now allowed to come together to farewell a loved one, and from May 18 this increases to 30 people for an outdoor funeral. Please respect the social distancing guidelines. If you have any symptoms of illness, please do not attend the funeral service. This is for everyones safety.... We have the capability to live stream services from our Mersey Gardens Chapel and this is being offered to our families. We thank you for your understanding during this very difficult time. Please know that we are here to assist you during this time with any questions that you may have in relation to planning for a funeral.

23.01.2022 We at Pinegrove Funerals would like to congratulate Bailey Mason on being our latest community grant recipient. Bailey loves racing go karts and uses this as a interest to focus on when life is not going his way. Bailey will use the community grant to go towards his licences and insurances for the upcoming racing season. If you too have a worthy community, sporting or individual cause you would like considered for our community grants then please email your interest to [email protected].

21.01.2022 Today our Operations Manager, Caleb got to go to the lovely picturesque town of Strahan to say farewell to one of the local residents. The gathering was only small due to government restrictions and the rain held off for most of the service. We are so privileged that we get to travel anywhere in our lovely state to help grieving families.

14.01.2022 As of midday today, up to 250 people will be allowed to gather indoors and up to 500 outdoors for funeral services as long as social distancing restrictions are followed. Our Mersey Gardens Chapel (opposite the Mersey Vale Memorial Park) now has the capacity to seat 100 people, and our chapel at Pinegrove (in Steele Street) has the capacity to seat 70 people. Please speak with one of our Funeral Directors on 6423 4000 if you would like more information about funeral service numbers and how they may affect you.

13.01.2022 REVISED: Limits on public gatherings for COVID-19 The Australian Government has introduced strict new rules in relation to public gatherings and social distancing which come into effect from midnight tonight, March 25. This means that only 10 people are allowed at a funeral, regardless of the service being held indoors or outdoors. The 10 people include the celebrant or church minister, and the staff member from the funeral company. We are also unable to have refreshments in our venues until the restrictions are relaxed. We are still operating as normal, and our friendly, professional staff are available to assist you during these very challenging times.

04.01.2022 Sorry about the long post but the below information is very important. Our approach to COVID-19 The health and wellbeing of our staff and our clients is of high importance to Pinegrove. Its clear that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is spreading globally, and although we see no reason to panic, its important that we take measures to mitigate the spread of the virus to ensure the safety of our communities, particularly the elderly and immunocompromised. We are monitoring the situ...ation daily through the Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA) and will continue to implement their recommendations as they come to hand. The following summarises the precautions Pinegrove are taking in response to COVID -19, and doing all we can to provide a clean and safe environment for our staff and clients: We will encourage the use of our Live Stream options at no additional costs where large numbers of mourners are anticipated. Where appropriate, and with our client families permission, we will include reference to Live Streaming in the published funeral notice. We will follow the advice of the government and not conduct funerals (public gatherings) where mourners are expected to exceed 500 We will encourage mourners to avoid handshakes, hugging and kissing as a form of physical condolence. We will monitor our staff and if they are showing symptoms of the virus, they will be asked to self-isolate and to be tested. Hand sanitiser will be available throughout our premises and on all funerals (specifically at condolence register tables for use after each pen use) Bathrooms will continue be stocked with hand wash/soap and disposable hand towel. In our office, all door handles, phones, reception desks, water filters and common areas will be wiped with sanitisers regularly throughout the day. We continue to provide our customers with great service and excellent outcomes in the weeks and months ahead. If you have any questions or would like to discuss how the situation might affect your specific funeral being held with Pinegrove, please contact our office on (03) 6423 4000 so we can assist further.
