25.01.2022 SOLAR SNAKE REPELLERS.....keeping an open mind (& fingers crossed) I desperately wanted these things to work. Unfortunately, a huge shadow has been cast over my confidence.....I noticed a 1.3m brown laying just 3m from one this morning! I don't know a thing about snake body language...but his head was raised and his tail flicking....aggressive or mesmerised? He held that position for several minutes as I frantically secured the dogs, gathered our tools for relocating snakes... :) , phoned my knight in shining armour and waited for him to arrive from across the paddock on his trusty farm bike (I figured I wouldn't try to deal with our unwelcome visitor unless he tried to take off.) All the while, the snake did not move....however I did not think to take a happy snap of the moment! Anyway, we successfully removed the snake from our house yard....but I am left feeling far less confident in the reliability of the snake deterrants. :( See more

24.01.2022 SUCH A SAD MORNING here on the farm. Lady Di - a hard working mare in her younger years. A gentle horse with a big heart. Anthony was with her when she was born in 1981 (the year Charles married Dianna) and he was with her for her final breath this morning. 33 years - that's what you call "a forever home". We knew this day was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier. :(

22.01.2022 A MASSIVE HELLO & THANK YOU from THE AWESOME PORTION of the Pinelands Beef Delivery team to our wonderful customers in Crow's Nest, Gowrie Junction, Toowoomba, the Lockyer Valley, Morayfield, Deception Bay, Redcliffe & Strathpine who took delivery of their beef orders over the weekend! We survived the heat & the G20 traffic - good on you Mum! (Did not think about that when planning deliveries...did she!) Can't wait to be heading out with our next load of beef in December!

19.01.2022 With the start of the new year, we have decided to shut down our paddock to plate business. It has been very successful, rewarding and enjoyable, but our focus has shifted. I (Linda) am going to do some study, amongst other things. As a family, we need to clear our diary a little so have had to make some big decisions. Thank you all for your wonderful support.
