25.01.2022 THIRD QUARTER TIME SCORE Ipswich: 1.4 - 10 Swans: 0.1 - 1 ... Great pressure that quarter with some good runs from Maddog. Bring it home girls

24.01.2022 Club Spirit Strong In The Under 10s

24.01.2022 Pine Rivers Vs Moorooka Sorry for the late match Report. After Saturday efforts and Saturday nights awesome event its was fair to say fathers day was played out with a hangover!!!! Qtr. 1.... The last to weeks have seen us start off slow and we wanted to send a message that we are ready for finals And boy did we send a message. Moorooka were unable to get their hands on the ball as we switched, ran and created space Moorooka couldnt keep up. With 2 goals from Aden, Little Bondy, Robbo (after an awesome chase down), Pearcy, we ended up ahead at the first break Pine Rivers 5.6.36 to Moorooka 0.0.0 Qtr. 2. We started the second like we ended the first, controlling the footy using up our short leads and getting it in quick with fast transition footy. Moorookas defence couldnt hold us and we soon hit the scoreboard on a regular fashion. Goals from Aden, Pearcy, Coxy, Big Bondys massive launch, Lemonz and Forbes we went into half time up and about and running on all cylinders Pine Rivers 11.8.74 to Moorooka 1.1.7 Qtr 3 We spoke about continued pressure and how we were utilizing our small forwards to open space and also stay dangerous. Our back 6 were holding strong, but a few mistakes allowed them to kick a goal and 4 minors. We stayed true to our game plan and managed another 4 goals, two from Aden, one from Forbes and one from Flanders, we were rolling along nicely ready to finish the game strong. Pine Rivers 15.10.100 to Moorooka 2.5.17 Qtr 4 We really didnt want to relax and make sure we finish knowing we put 4 solid quarters together, something the last few weeks we havent been able to do. The last quarter Moorooka were out of run and Quinny capitalized kicking a sneaky goal. Aden then took over and clunked everything kicking four of the five final goals and marking just after the siren to go for his 10. A well rounded game and all 22 contributed to a fantastic win. Pine Rivers 20.10.130 to Moorooka 3.8.26 We started this year with a goal to make finals. Knowing last year we hadnt won a game, and giving the boys belief they can be great while adding some experience propelled us to finish minor premiers in a year full of ups and downs. I am very proud of everyone involved, a great achievement, but the job is half done. The real work starts now. May the swans go marching on!!!!!

21.01.2022 Yesterday was a massive day, which will truly become a significant piece of history for the club. Each week we recognise volunteers who step up and give their own time to ensure we all can enjoy our time at the club. Yesterday was no different, we were very fortunate to gain assistance of a non club member who supported the ladies in the canteen, which than allowed all our club members to witness a nail biting victory. Big thank you to Kelly for coming down and giving us a hand.

21.01.2022 Volunteer of the Week There are some jobs that happen behind the scenes that you wouldnt even know who did it. Have you ever wondered how your guernsey leaves all sweaty and muddy, but than arrives the next week washed and beautifully folded?... This year our very special Marie Williams offered to look after the mens Guernseys for us. She has her drying station set up for each week, where each player has their own coat hangers. Marie we thank you for your kind acts of service, it doesnt go unnoticed at all.

08.01.2022 Which kids are ready to test out this on Australia Day?? Ready for action from 12pm

08.01.2022 Pine Rivers Vs Alexandra Hills Preliminary Final Wrap Up Qtr 1... The boys were raring to go and straight from the start we controlled the footy. However our entries inside fifty were less than desired and we couldnt put scoreboard pressure on. Forbes kicked the first one early in the quarter before Quinny snagged another in the 22 minute mark. However we were wasteful in front of goal and allowed Alex to kick 2 as well. Pine Rivers 2.4.16 to Alex Hills 2.0.12 Qtr 2 Again the wind was causing havoc and we just couldnt get delivery into our forward fifty right which allowed for easy interceptions and attack from the opposition. They had a slight breeze advantage which allowed them to kick 1.1 for the quarter, Disaster happened as Daddy went down with a season ending broken wrist and we found we were a tall short but a late goal from Liam on the halftime siren kept us in front at the long break. Pine Rivers 3.6.24 to Alex Hills 3.1.19 Qtr 3 We spoke about keeping the pressure, when to attack and when to hold and wait for options. We kicked two quick ones from the boots of Quinny and Trent to put us 17 points up. Our discipline started to waver and we lost Liam for 15 minutes due to backchat and 3 x 50 metre penalties Saw Alex kick the next 5 goals straight to lead at the final change. Pine Rivers 5.9.39 to Alex Hills 8.2.50 Qtr 4 We spoke to the boys about belief, about knowing that when the time comes they will take advantage. Alex started off a little better and managed to kick the first goal of the last quarter. This is when our boys decided the time was now. With true grit and determination we slowly pegged them back. Two goals from Aden, two from quinny put us up by 7 points. Liam had been allowed back on and after just a couple of minutes snapped truly to put us 13 points up deep into the last quarter and when Quinny snagged his fifth for the game it was over. They kicked one on the siren but the boys held on to win by 13 points. Wins like this are a true indication of never giving in and never stopping the game isnt over until the final siren. Well done swannies, you have earned the right to play in a grand final. Pine Rivers 11.10.76 to Alex Hills 10.3.63

05.01.2022 Hi All, What a day yesterday! Our Senior boys are going to the big dance next Saturday. 2pm @ Sandgate! As tradition, the club will be putting on a bus for the players and coaches to get to the game.... I have also organised a 48 seat supporter bus to and from the ground to take an awesome supporter base with us. We dont have long to organise this bus and get numbers locked in. This is a great opportunity, regardless of next weeks result, to travel to the game together and be able to enjoy the game with a few beverages and celebrate the wonderful turnaround season the boys have had all the way back to the club where the celebrations will no doubt be huge and continue long into the night. We will be doing seats for $15 per person to help cover the cost. Bus will be at the club at 12:30 to be on our way by 12:45pm. To book your spot, please message the page or Mitchell Clemett for club bank details for transfer. This will be on a first in basis. Thanks, Mitch LETS GO SWANNIES
