16.01.2022 #repost WIRES Flood Emergency: There is extensive rain and flooding across Australia, especially along the NSW coast and inland to the lower #BlueMountains a...nd #Hawkesbury areas. This flooding and wet weather is already having a direct impact on our wildlife and WIRES have been attending emergency rescues related to this weather event. If you are in places cut off by the floods and have found wildlife in need of help please call for advice on 1300 094 737 or fill out our 'Report a rescue' form via the WIRES website. Coping with extreme weather results in stress and shock for wildlife and birds are often the most impacted by becoming water logged, unable to fly or seabirds can be blown off course. Wide expanses of land are being inundated with fast and flowing water, there are reports of wildlife being stranded or swept away. Please report any animals in distress or needing assistance to WIRES 1300 094 737. If you are in the vicinity of the Byron Bay Mobile Wildlife Hospital, you can call ahead on +61 437 818 883 or come directly to us for wildlife assessment and treatment. Finally, please be vigilant on the road and keep an eye out for wildlife. Take care and stay safe. 09.01.2022 It's hard work keeping everything in order at Pines on the Plateau. Every now and then I need to have a catnap! My owners don't seem to mind where I have a little rest.

03.01.2022 Good that the heavy rain that was predicted isn't going to happen (so we're told). A little sunshine would be nice though.
