21.01.2022 With local support for Australian brands accelerating during these trying times, Australian Made has partnered eBay to help our manufacturers grow their businesses. 20.01.2022 Kochie's Business Builders has a new TV show called Small Business First. On their website, they have a business directory that you can sign up for free, so you get a listing plus the opportunity to upload a 30 second video. Their listing page gives you 3 lines that readers can see right away without clicking through, so make full use of that space. Rather than describe your business, highlight one unique feature that showcases a great result for a client. That will grab their attention. Because they're selecting interesting businesses to feature on their show from this listing. And make sure that you have a great video too. Good luck! https://smallbusinessfirst.kochiesbusinessbuilders.com.au/

19.01.2022 Oh no! One of my favourite brands got hit with negative publicity because of the actions of one of its employees - now ex-employee. With the media regularly reporting on racism during COVID-19, an issue like this was definitely going to hit the news. Protecting your reputation can often be tricky, especially when there's something not within your control. But Lululemon did the right thing. It clarified that the t-shirt was not their product, apologised for the unfortunate situation, and fired the guy.

16.01.2022 Day 6 of my news review series looking at good PR and bad PR stories in the media

12.01.2022 If we're not treating our clients, suppliers and employees with empathy, at any time - not just during COVID-19 - we might be in for a reputational shock. Do the right thing, always! Or be quick to right what's wrong. Don't wait till you're forced to make changes.

01.01.2022 This is a great commentary piece on PR opportunity Vs PR opportunism. The former is positive PR while the latter is negative PR. During this crisis, people are going to remember brands for their actions. Are you genuinely being helpful and supportive? Or are you just trying to make a quick buck? If you're sharing community and love, you're on the right track. But if you're tapping into fear and uncertainty, you're putting your reputation at risk.
