15.01.2022 Thats a wrap on The Types premiere at @metroarts @brisbanefestival Wow what a season. Everything down from the bts planning, rehearsing and all 5 shows were so special. Its honestly to hard to put into words but we are so grateful to the entire team at Metro Arts for believing in us and housing us at their beautiful new venue. Thank you to everyone that came and supported us and shared your energy while we were on stage, we truly appreciate the love. The feedback we have received has been overwhelming and we hope we can share our stories through The Type again very soon

12.01.2022 Did you know a large portion of The Type was conceptual freestyle!? This particular concept I called the pretzel I needed something that represented being tangled up in our thoughts/obstacles/struggles while trying to break away. I thought of that team bonding game where you grab random hands in a circle then try to untangle - we played that in rehearsal then eventually picked up the pace and put it to music. Everytime we did it in rehearsal/the show it was slightly different and with every show we got more comfortable and riskier to find new paths. From here we opened to our first cypher of the show I love watching these back and seeing all the different patterns #thetype - Wanida

We hope to see the ideas that artists, event organisers and entertainers have been writing down and dreaming of, come to life and our entertainment/arts scene thriving even better than before. We hope everyone shows a tidal wave of love and support to all upcoming events, workshops, classes etc as soon as we are out of this forced hiatus. Here at Pink Matter weve been responsibly laying low but dont worry, theres plans in motion and as soon as we can well be coming through with some super fun thangs.
