25.01.2022 2020...what a year!!! I‘d like to challenge you, instead of thinking of all the negatives of this year, take a moment to highlight all the good things that happened to you. What changes did you make to your life?... Which new opportunities have opened up to you? What was your greatest achievement? And lastly, would you have gotten to where you are right now if it weren’t for the year 2020? Think about it. HAPPY NEW YEAR! PS: Thanks to 2020 I had a smooth conception and pregnancy and I became a mother to my son Joshua.
25.01.2022 YTT in Thailand exactly 2 years ago! Wow!! This is a real #tbt .One of the moat life changing experiences I ever had, also one of the most emotionally challenging ones. I went in with so many expectations, but many of them have not been met. One should never go do something and have too many expectations, that is one of the many lessons I have learnt while there. Even though I did not achieve what I wanted, my YTT taught me that fate had something else planned for me ...and that the one thing that I was really longing for was not meant to happen yet. Trust the process, everything has a purpose and things happen or don’t happen for a good reason. What was your biggest YTT lesson?
24.01.2022 Relationship Goals: How yoga has influenced our relationship I am blessed that I can proudly say that I am in a very happy and healthy relationship. Let me tell you a secret, it takes two to make it work and you both need to invest and make an effort. My husband and I met 11 years ago in Austria, it was an instant magical connection, one could even say it was destiny. I knew, he was the one However life always throws in challenges like distance, lack of time, strong eg...o/individuality, strong personalities, jelousy, external factors - just to name a few. Although we loved each other, we fought a lot and had many situations where one of us was about to give up. But we held on to our love, 5 years later we moved to Australia. Being alone in a new country together, may break some partnership but not ours - we became stronger and even got married. In this time I also started yoga. A journey of self-exploration, understanding and compassion. I have learnt to manage my weaknesses, my impulsiveness, jealousy and firey temprament. I took care of myself first, made sure that I am happy so my relationship could be happy too. I listened, I tried to understand, I found my centre and I took time to reflect to make the right decisions. Based on our experience, this is what helped us: 1. Have no expectations and don't compare yourselves to others 2. Spend time together but also give each other space 3. Have a healthy sex life 4. Be open, vulnerable and show your emotions 5. Have some me time and ensure you are happy first (yoga helps) 6. Put each other first and be supportive 7. Value your partner, be appreciative, never lie 8. Say "I love you" often and give real compliments Always make sure you are happy first, find your centre. Don't expect your partner to make you happy, you alone are responsible for your won happiness. 22.01.2022 10 Things I‘ve learnt from Pregnancy (Btw 2 days after these pics were taken, I gave birth to my baby boy.) 1. I am more like my mother than I thought and I should appreciate my mother more... 2. My body is changing to give new life to this world, this is natural and beautiful. Women are the carriers of new life. This is the most powerful strength one can have and all women should be respected more 3. The love towards my own child is something so indescribable and so powerful that I have never ever felt before 4. It is important to have a supportive life partner who appreciates you and is with you with every new step you take on this journey. Being with family is so precious and highly missed especially when all your family is overseas. 5. A womans body, mind, emotions go through so many massive changes which unfortunately is still underestimated by the opposite sex. We experience unimaginable pain during labour which only us women can endure. If men could also experience pregnancy it would change the world to a better 6. It is important to take time for yourself and inform yourself about motherhood. Whilst things will not go a planned it is good to have a plan. 7. Embrace motherhood and don’t forget who you are. Take time to remind yourself who you were before being a mother and make yourself shine again. 8. There are so many pregnancy related things people don’t talk about. Pregnancy shouldn’t be a taboo. 9. I loved my body before I was pregnant, and I learnt to love and appreciate it even more during pregnancy. 10. People will judge you for the methods you choose, but that’s ok. I wish you good health, happiness and joy in the new year ahead. I’ve been MIA lately as I am focusing currently on being a new mum. It’s tough, challenging yet so beautiful, rewarding and brings me so much joy. One thing I wish for in the new year is that COVID-19 disappears forever and we are ...allowed to travel again.
