25.01.2022 WEIGHT LOSS CLINIC IS BACK!!! We have had so much interest in the weight loss clinic. So many of you wanting to make healthy changes. If you would like to know more about the new challenge starting July 16th, please join us on Saturday 6th July at 11am for a free information session.

25.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE Due to an NBN outage in the area, our phone lines are currenlty down. We are unable to answer any calls or emails at this stage so we kindly ask to not email us or try to call. We have been advised that this should be sorted by tomorrow morning however it is beyond our control.... We apologise for any inconvenience. If you were booked in for a teleconsult, our GP's will try to conact you. If you had an appointment you may still attend. We still ask you do not enter the clinic if you have any cold or flu symptoms, if you are awaiting any covid-19 results or if you have been in contact with any confirmed cases. This clinic will also be closed between 12-1.30pm today. Should you need urgent medical attention please dial 000 or go to your nearest Emergency Department. Once again, we sincerly apologise for any inconvience.

12.01.2022 COVID-19 As you are all aware, we are currently experiencing some challenging times with COVID-19 and Victoria being in a State of Emergency. At this stage Pinnacle Medical Centre is still operating as normal.... Some information that may help our patients; - If you are experiencing any cold/flu symptoms but have not had contact with any confirmed cases, or recently traveled overseas, we generally say you should just manage this as you would any other cold and flu. - if you have elderly people, infants or immune compromised people in your household, please be extra cautious as they are the ones most at risk. - If you HAVE traveled in the past 14 days, or had contact with a genuine CONFIRMED case and are having symptoms, then we strongly encourage you to contact the COVID-19 Hotline on 1800 020 080 or visit www.healthdirect.gov.au/coronavirus -If in doubt or unsure, please contact us or the number listed above for advice. Also self isolation is a great idea at this time if you are unwell. Remember, good hygiene is your best defence. Hand washing and use of hand sanitiser wherever possible. Also make sure when coughing and sneezing, you cover your face to protect others. Also some of you may not be aware, but the government has introduced Telehealth Consults for people who are considered Vulnerable to this virus. If you are in the following list, you may make an appointment and have your GP call you for a telephone consult. -If you are over 70 years old -If you are 50+ and are Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander -If you are pregnant -If you are a parent of a child under 12 months -If you have a chronic illness or are immune compromised. If you wish to make an appointment, please contact us. If you do feel you may have had contact or may have the virus, please DO NOT enter the practice. 07.01.2022 TELEHEALTH CONSULTS Did you know that you can now have your consult from the comfort of your own home? As the Government is encouraging Australians to stay home, they have introduced telehealth consults. As of Monday all Medicare card holders are entitiled to have a telephone consult with their GP Bulk Billed to Medicare.... If you require any scripts, referrals etc, you can have all of that done in one phone consult. Please call today to make your appointment. Please note, those who wish to come in can still do so. We just ask you let our team know if you are unwell before entering the clinic. Also during this time of social distancing, we ask only the patients come in to our waiting room. We ask family members that don't need to attend remain at home. We thank you for your co-operation and hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
