23.01.2022 We reopened our doors on Monday night, and what a week back it was!! Thank you to all our returning members who reinforced why I started Pinnacle in the first place. To train at a place where fun and being happy was a priority. Your loyalty through these tough times brought a big smile to my face, and it was amazing to see everyone return. And a big thank you to all the new faces who came and spent time with us this week too, and there was a lot!! I hope you enjoyed your time and will continue to make Pinnacle BJJ Academy your home, and become part of our family.

22.01.2022 To celebrate the end of term, Pinnacle is having an Easter dress up theme for our Mini Warriors and Junior BJJ classes. Mini Warriors are 5.30pm on Monday 22nd March. Junior BJJ on Monday 22nd and Wednesday 24th at 6pm. Hop on down to join in on the fun!!

17.01.2022 We had our last week of training for term 1 starting on the 22nd March. Even though it was pouring rain, we still had a great turn out for our Mini Warrior and junior BJJ Easter dress up night. I also conducted a surprise grading for our BJJ classes, as we were unable to hold any gradings last year due to Covid. Congratulations to new Grey belts Ava, Malik and Reece. New Grey white belts to Flynn, Casey and Liam. Stripes were also awarded to Pete, Aaron, Blake and Ben. On Wed...nesday night stripes were also awarded to Drayzen and Madden. Well done to everyone. 09.01.2022 Now that the Covid 19 restrictions are easing, Pinnacle is pleased to announce our brand new class, MINI WARRIORS!! This is a brand new class we are introducing to run in conjunction with our BJJ program. Are you looking for an activity for your little one thats non competitive and loads of fun? ... Pinnacle Mini Warriors is for you! Our classes cater for ages 2 and up! Whats a mini warrior?? Our class is 30mins long and includes a mixture of cardio exercise, martial arts, self defence & tumbling. No expensive equipment or uniforms required, all they will need is lots of energy and loud voices!! Kids get the opportunity to meet new friends and be active at the same time. The class structure / exercise will change each class to ensure the kids remain motivated, whilst learning real life skills at the same time. Pinnacle is a family friendly environment, and as the hall is 270sqm, there is plenty of room for parents to sit, watch & engage with the class. No lock in contracts, and only $5 per child / class. Casual visits welcome 5:30pm-6pm Mondays and Wednesdays from July 20.

04.01.2022 When you’re the more experienced or bigger partner - start in bottom position with disadvantage: We all have a wide variety of training partners. Inevitably the...re will be big variations in size and skill level among them - so don’t treat them all the same. When you are more experienced or bigger - don’t start neutral as you would for someone your own size or skill level - start with some form of disadvantage so you get more out of the session and work skills you might not otherwise work and at the same time make it more competitive. When you do this you can be in a room full of small white belts and still get a good workout. It’s not about who you beat in the gym - it’s about beating who you were yesterday - and starting with disadvantage is the best way to do this when training with people you already know you can easily beat. 03.01.2022 With our re-opening date now only a week away, I would ask all our current members and those intending to start with us next week to please read our Covid safety policy. Can I also ask that if you are attending for the first time can you please message us with who will be attending, what class you will be attending and a contact phone number. This is to comply with NSW Health Covid-19 policy, and to ensure that no time is wasted at the beginning of class for me to record everyone that is attending.
