With over 120 competitors joining the Rocksports Community fro...m the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast throughout the 12 hour event. "Lucy has been a member of the Pinnacle Sports Team since 2011and has since becomeone of the biggest names in the Australian climbing scene today. Shehas been climbing for as long as she can remember but began to really focus on the sport aspectduring high school. She drewon her background in gymnastics to help develop her skills as a climber and eventually she found herself... competing at a national level. During her first national competition, she realised that it was possible to compete at an international level and that has been her focusever since, with the ultimate dream being to represent Australia at the Olympics. She is well on her way to achieving this goal, having been crowned AustralianLead Climbing Champion in 2014 and 2016, Oceanic Lead Climbing Champion in 2013 and 2016, and representing Australia internationally in multipleWorld Cups." 13.01.2022 Welcoming aboard the Ambassador team, current Pinnacle instructor, Alex Mougenot "In 2013, Alex was riding his bike past Kangaroo Point for the first time and was in awe of the climbers there. After stopping to stare like a creep for a while, a random belayer turned around and asked him if he wanted a go... this was what sparked Alex's climbing journey. Over the next 3 years Alex went from bouldering barefoot in Toohey Forest with an old foam mattress, to embarking on big ...traditional climbing adventures in Tasmania. All the while through he's remained psyched on all aspects of climbing, whether it be scaling 400m cliffs or pebble-wrestling. Apart from furthering his own climbing, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences with the kids in the Pinnacle Sports Kids Club, and relishes in the company of good friends. Running over 8 weeks during the school term, these programs feature 6 sessions at Kangaroo Point, 1 session at an indoor climbing venue, and 1 epic day out in the Glasshouse Mountains. He's been climbing for two decades and has worked in a variety of roles within the industry, from sales staff to height access technician, to eventually taking over owners...hip of Pinnacle Sports in 2008. Since taking over Pinnacle Sports, AJ has pushed the business to new heights, establishing it as a premiere equipment, guiding, and inspection outlet. His passion for the business is fuelled by his love of climbing in general.
