16.01.2022 What do you do when you saw someone crying or Sad? Of course your initial instinct is to ask"why" or say "is there any problem" or "are you alright," but is it really necessary? Why do I ask? Have you noticed? Most of the time you ask or talk to the person, they burst into tears! Did you make it more worst or you helped the person let it all out from their chest?! It's a big puzzle! Some people feel worst, some people feels better. Some people want's you to leave them alone, ...some wants a shoulder to cry on. I guess for some, it's better to ask & make the other person feel that no matter how big the problem is... there is someone waiting to listen!

15.01.2022 Happy To Be A Nurse

14.01.2022 To all beautiful nurses out there! Keep up the good work!

13.01.2022 A gentleman was walking his dog when suddenly he felt dizzy and decided to see if there is someone who could give him something to eat as he thinks he is having a Hypo- blood sugar is low. His a Diabetic and it was hot and he has walk a bit of a long distance with his dog. My question is...and this happens a lot to some people, why would you not bring something with you, when you know that you're having some medical condition. Being a Diabetic is something that people who ha...s it, should take it seriously, you can drop in a blink of an eye when your blood sugar is low. Bring lollies, chocolate, juice anything that is handy and easy to put in your bag, something that could save your life in a matter of seconds. I also remember one patient before, she is lactose intolerance and has so many allergy with food. She is going for an elective surgery. And a week before her procedure, she emailed the Hospital and inform the catering department of what food she can and cannot eat. The day after her procedure, she was furious that her food were not ordered and that she was given the wrong food at all. She was unhappy and made a big scene about this food situation. So I ask her this question...how long have you been having this food allergies etc. She replied long time since she was a child. My reply was, so you have been having food in your house that is suitable for your own consumption?? The reply was a long pause of YES! So will it not be easier to just bring those food that you can eat rather than spending time emailing and informing the whole Hospital about what food we can serve you, Will that maybe easier to do rather than upset yourself for not getting the food you want? Just saying.....

11.01.2022 The Miracle of Life!

11.01.2022 Have you ever been asked this question? How did you become a NURSE? And have you asked yourself what made you become a Nurse? I guess everyone has their own story to tell and I'm sure each one of us has a very unique way of how we became a Nurse. Being a Nurse is not just going to a University or just going to a classroom to study. To become a nurse means you must possess a quality, a character that is only unique to Nurses.... Being a nurse means you have to be patient, you must show compassion, empathy and most of all you must love your job as a Nurse. You must know how to juggle everyday life, and your life outside work must not interfere with your Nursing. How I became a nurse, is something up to now made me wonder and I know that I became a nurse because I love helping people. Nursing is a very rewarding job. You can't be a good nurse if the only thing you think about is, to do Nursing as a profession because you can be a nurse anywhere and everywhere. I am telling you right now, if that was the one thing in your mind, you won't be able to give your 101 percent on your job as a nurse because you don't have the passion to become one. Being a nurse measures your intelligence, your patience, understanding and most of all having that courage to make a critical decision when needed. Being a nurse means having to give that one big smile to your Ailing patient, when you yourself needed that reassurance that everything is going to be alright,' just hang on there buddy.' Being a nurse is showing everyone that you are there to relieve their pain, their worries, you may not be able to cure their Illness but you are there to reassure them, even it's impossible, that everything will be OK. So next time, someone ask you, why did you become a Nurse, just say, 'I love my Job as a nurse.' and that your a damn good nurse.

10.01.2022 Correct me if I am wrong on this....the question that most nurses ask, DO WE NURSES IDENTIFY OURSELVES AS A NURSE when we become the patient? I guess it depends on the situation, there are circumstances that it comes out on the conversation, and there are some situation that some Nurses like to be identified as a Nurse right there and then. To me when someone tells me that they are Nurse, I feel like 'YAY' you're a nurse, now you know how it feels to be on the other side. Yo...u kind of make medical conversation, feel at ease because you're hundred percent sure that your patient understand what you are doing without going in depth with the explanation of the procedure you intend to do, and as Nurse you feel like you can say medical terms without offending your patient. But there are situations as well that some Nurses like to Brag, likes to challenge the other nurse and make sure that the Nurse caring for them knows what they are doing, like there's no room for mistake..worst case scenario on this, no one wants to nurse you, cos you're just being a pain in the bum. You end up getting angry cos the nurse haven't been to check you or give your meds on time. The truth is no one want's to enter your room cos you're a nurse and a pain in the ass! You act like you know everything! The truth is we all have our strengths & weaknesses, I maybe a damn good surgical nurse, and you maybe a very knowledgeable ICU/CCU nurse, but there are things that you don't know that I know and there are things that you're good at that I don't have a clue at all. So next time you become a patient, make the right decision when to reveal your hidden job.

08.01.2022 To all lovely nurses out there, no matter how bad your shift goes, always remember why you became a nurse! Just bite your tongue, count one to ten, be positive and put that Angelic smile on your face! I know it's easy said than done but life must go on, you need to always remember your patient needs you! They need nurses to reassure them that everything is going to be OK!

08.01.2022 As the famous song goes...I did my best but I guess my best wasn't good enough.. This song applies to everyone in every circumstances or situations in life. Have you ever done so much for someone and end up singing this song? Are we all singing the same tune over and over again? When do you think you have done so much but no one recognized your effort, or you're just the only one on that boat thinking you're the hero but you're not!... We all think differently, We all think we've done so much for someone and the others were thinking the same. The question is who was sacrificing & doing all the hard work, and who's just enjoying? Or is it the other way around, or perhaps someone sacrificed something for you and you were expected to pay it in return? Or maybe, people are too naive to accept or see the real situation, and just expect that it's a normal situation. People give and someone has to receive. We sacrificed so others will be happy. It's a never ending question of who has done something and who had given more, the fact of the matter remains that what ever you do...it will never be enough and you have never done your best...
