23.01.2022 The system of cold outreach is mortally wounded and bleeding out. 2 main reasons why: - It got so overused and over-saturated that people are so fed up with it that they just say no as habit and reflex, now, whether it's a good thing or not; sometimes even to our own detriment. - It was an old system for old technology in an old time.... This is the first time in human history where we are literally spoiled for choice. With the internet taking over our lives; it takes me 8 seconds to find out that I have 35+ different, all convenient, options to do something as simple as getting my hair cut. I have 15+ mechanics, 30+ electricians, 15+ shoe stores, and 40+ parks; that's all just in my local area. I'm 1 click away from literally millions of digital companies in other countries, and 1 click away from literally tens of millions of different charities. We live in a buyers market where the buyer has so much choice that they can pick and choose at their own convenience. The only way to really keep up on it all is to try to stand out and show that you're the best one for them to pick. Reaching out to them when they're busy doing something else is just rolling a die to see if you roll a 6 for them to be in a good enough mood to want to help at that particular time. All this is to say that your best bet these days: - Content. Create valuable content and spread your content and let them come to you. Make yourself attractive and available and, most importantly, visible. - The best strategy, no longer, is to hunt down customers\donations, but instead to draw them in and let them come to you.
14.01.2022 BUSINESS IS NOT DRYING UP. Most businesses are getting less and less customers coming through their doors and we call it 'business drying up'. The fact is there's still just as much demand for everything as there was 5 years ago; but the supply has shifted to online.... _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ BUSINESSES WHO DON'T KEEP UP ARE LEFT BEHIND. Business owners, especially small business owners, keep doing what they were doing, as the world changes around them, and then wonder why things are 'tight within the economy'. Some started a Facebook page or slapped together a dodgy website and thought that was 'good enough'. Some even post to social media here and there; but it's rarely engaging content that leads to growth and sales. Because, wait for it, most small business owners are not digital marketing experts. And, even for those that are; most of us don't have enough time to do it. So unfortunately (because we apparently like to make things harder on ourselves) we try to cut corners; and it's usually marketing, the very thing that brings in new customers, that we sacrifice first. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ PROGRESS WAITS FOR NO MAN. Sure, not everything is rainbows with our economy but it's not the sole reason that small businesses are going under like never before - Never before have we had a shift from the 'real world' into a virtual one. Everything, and everyone, is online. The internet is kingmaker and soulbreaker - and it's not going away; it will continue to separate the wheat from the chaff and slowly crush-to-death every business that doesn't adapt before it's too late. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ DO YOU WANT YOUR BUSINESS TO SLOWLY BLEED OUT AND DIE? Or do you want it going stronger than ever for another couple of decades? It's your business; it's your choice - But choose wisely.
05.01.2022 Your overall online reputation is directly tied to the online success of your business. How you're viewed by the public can make-or-break businesses. Poor/unknown reputation = Distrust and skepticism = Customers choosing your better known, better reviewed competitors. Great reputation = Great trust and hope = More customers, more profits and more opportunity.... Getting and managing reviews is the foundation of your reputation - How you handle people in public view can, and will, make or break you.
04.01.2022 They say that word-of-mouth has the best conversion rate of all marketing tools. Getting a recommendation from a trusted source is how the vast majority of people choose whether to go with you, or your competitor. But what if they don't know a plumber? Or a mechanic? Or where else they can get shoes? Or a good haircut?... Who do they trust the recommendation of then? Imagine getting hundreds more customers every month with Google recommending you as one their top options. Get your website Optimised for Search Engines and reap the rewards of the digital word-of-mouth.
03.01.2022 "Alexa, is my business ready for voice searches?" One of the biggest marketing predictions for 2020 is that more than 50% of internet searches will be voice searches; this includes Siri, Alexa and even Google Assistant. It's quicker, hands-free and easier.... It's been a growing trend for years, now, and it looks like it's going to be taking over the majority of searches very, very soon. Make sure your business is optimised for voice search, as well, so you don't miss out on 50% of the customer market!
