23.01.2022 New 5.0-star Review: ""

18.01.2022 As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic continues to evolve, we’ve stepped up our company protocol. We are taking this public health issue seriously and are following NSW Health's recommendations to reduce the risk of transmission and infection. We are taking the below action:... - Staff are required to use hand sanitiser before and after every job - All vehicles will be disinfected at the end of each business day - Staff have disposable gloves and masks in their vehicles and will use them if requested - All staff are required to practice social distancing to avoid physical contact (e.g. handshakes) - Staff who have recently been overseas or in contact with a COVID-19 carrier are being quarantined for 14 days, requiring testing before returning to work Despite the very forward planning, issues with electrical can occur at any moment. These problems still need to be resolved, so we are staying open to support our community during this uncertain time. If you are in quarantine and need assistance, please make our customer service team aware so we can take the appropriate infection control measures. Your safety is important to us and every part of the Pinpoint Electrical team is committed to your well-being. For further information please see NSW Health https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//coronavirus-professionals.a

14.01.2022 80,000 customers lost power in last night’s severe storms. At 1pm we’ve restored power to 65,000 and are working to get the remaining 14,000 in Sydney & Cent...ral Coast and 1,000 in the Hunter back on today. The full list of impacted areas and where we are working to restore power is at: www.ausgrid.com.au/Outages/Planned-Activities The storms also swept across the Hunter. Karen Adnum sent us these photo from Muswellbrook.

07.01.2022 UPDATE 6:45pm: Power has been safely restored to 99,000 customers as Ausgrid crews continue repairs following the weekend’s devastating storms. Since midday pow...er has been restored to another 9,000 customers. Power is still out to about 41,000 homes and businesses across Sydney and the Central Coast this evening and customers are being asked to prepare for outages into the weekend. The safety of the public is always our first priority. There are still over 2,000 hazards on the network such as fallen trees, fallen powerlines, snapped power poles and flood damage. These will be made safe first before repairs can be made. Crews have been working to restore power progressively to all schools impacted by power outages. Power has been safely restored to Pennant Hills High School this evening. This was one of the biggest storms on the network for the past two decades and in many locations parts of the network will need to be rebuilt from the ground up. All available Ausgrid crews are already engaged in the huge clean-up and repair effort. An additional 200 experienced technicians from South Australia, Victoria and Queensland are joining the effort alongside crews from across NSW. Our contact centre is operating 24 hours and 30 extra staff have been called in to respond to customer inquiries. Customers who rely on a continuous supply for medical equipment should consider activating their backup plans. Contact a family member or friend to help you to relocate and keep numbers handy for your GP and nearest hospital. If you remain without power please seek help in a life threatening situation by calling 000. For non-life-threatening electrical inquiries call Ausgrid on 131388. There are powerlines and poles down right across the network. Please stay well back from any fallen trees which can hide fallen powerlines. If you see fallen wires, don't go near them, keep at least 8metres away.
