Fees: P.O.A Shelter: Nearby Kings Domain Rotunda by application to council. Located adjacent to the entrance of the Royal Botanic Gardens, this venue is truly the most beautiful garden wedding location in Melbourne. Guests will park along Alexandra Avenue near the Swan Street Bridge. The sealed red footpath will lead them directly to the Kings Domain and into the sunken gardens. The "T" shaped shallow canal, water feature and tiled grotto are all interesting features within the grounds but the overall appeal is generally the well maintained flower beds and the privacy that this venue lends itself to. Due to the popularity of this venue, and to ensure that the grounds are kept in perfect condition throughout the summer months, Melbourne Parks and Gardens have placed limitations on guest numbers and hired equipment. Weighted umbrellas, food and beverages are also permitted. Rubbish removal is the responsibility of the client or the service providers. Public toilets are located on the gravel pathway towards Government House. The paths are well-signposted.This venue requires a little extra effort to access but the climb to the top is certainly rewarding.
