23.01.2022 Happy New year to all who have visited this site. A huge Thankyou to the Bringalbert foreshore committee for their help in bringing to life the story of Tom Hamilton and his efforts to teach the Aboriginal community to play cricket. There are still books available about his story and included is his brother James Charles Hamilton's narrative "Pioneering Days in Western Victoria". A very historic read.

03.01.2022 To all my family & friends. Recently I made a decision to drive to Pittsworth Qld. 40 klms from Toowoomba. I left Thursday and arrived 11.30 Saturday. I had a g...reat trip. Why am I here? It's been 38 years since I bought Sonia & Scott to meet my penpal Elizabeth Lanagen (nee Selman). We have corresponded since 10 yrs of age. (1963.) It was through a magazine our mothers subscribed to. I always wanted to write to some-one my age and was always interested how others lived in other parts of Australia. Qld was such a long way from Patyah via Edenhope. Another special event corresponded with my journey. Joe Marsh turned 50. He was one of the Indigenous cricket team members of 1988 to re-enact the 1868 First XI to tour England.Congratulations Joe and well done to your family & friends. Your primary school and cricket mate 'Cash' is interested in your international cricket story when it goes to print. See more

03.01.2022 A walk down memory Lane. Happy and safe festive season to these great cricket players of 1988. "Congratulations team on your historic event. 120 years after the first team left Edenhope to make their journey to the UK making it the most memorable moment in Australia's history.

02.01.2022 Bringalbert Bat and Ball. It has been an absolute privilege collating Thomas Gibson Hamilton's history and reprinting JC Hamilton's- Pioneering Days in Western Victoria. It's an historical document for future generations to extend their knowledge about our region.
