20.01.2022 It’s time for a new Student Spotlight, but it looks like we have two kids featured!! Their names are James and Clyde from our Year 12 Maths classes! James and Clyde are both relatively new students, having started during our online learning stage. However, from the start you could see their high levels of motivation and effort they put into their learning. This really paid off as you can see, they are starting their Senior year with a bang! Clyde just received the top mark and 1st place in both Mathematics Extension I and II with James close by receiving 2nd place!! Great job, boys! We hope you keep this intensity up and finish on a high note for your last year of school.

10.01.2022 Get ready for a deep and meaningful post beautifully written by our Senior English Tutor Carol Tran Hey Class of 2020! We have a mock exam coming up next week... (JOKES AHAHAH DID U GET A HEART ATTACK? Classes are over - YOU'RE FINALLY FREE ) Massive congratulations on finishing HSC WHOOOOO!!! This year has been crazzzzy - all of us were caught unexpected and you guys did such an amazing job adapting, keeping on top of your studies and pushing through despite so much uncertainty and chaos. And I suppose this year has been a great lesson for us all LIFE WILL THROW UNEXPECTED THINGS AT YOU BUT YOU JUST GOTTA KEEP MOVING FORWARD. I'll keep this message short and leave you off with 1 final lesson STAY CURIOUS. Curious about people. Curious about yourself. Curious about new experiences. Stay intellectually curious - in situations that make you feel uncomfortable or challenging, ask yourself what can I learn from this situation? How is this situation making me stronger? How is this situation benefiting me? It sounds cliché but there's a positive and negative perspective to look at any situation; A challenge is here. I can't do this. Bye world. Or A challenge is here. Life isn't going to wait, what can we do to move forward. Ultimately Stay curious about the world - become a problem solver not a complainer. And keep moving forward! Again, massive congratulations for moving forward during these difficult times. Just because your main learning is over, doesn't mean you stop learning. Challenge your own assumptions about what you think of the world and assumptions about your own potential - you have the ability to achieve great things! Wishing you all the best for the future! - Carol and the PLA Team
