24.01.2022 Our journey begins in Kunnunarra, a small town in the remote East Kimberly region of Western Australia. Located 3040km from the state capital there are not a lot of opportunities up here for professional coaching so there was quite a buzz when the Pioneers Basketball program rolled into town with our Philadelphia (USA) coaching crew to run some drills with the local mob. We are the Pioneers is a 5-part mini-doc-series sharing the inspiring true story of gifted young Aborigina...l basketballers, who are breaking out of life's limitations to pursue their dream as professional athletes. Our boys paying their respects to Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna and the family left behind with a minute silence. Jim shared his fond memories with the boys as he paid tribute to Kobe and the family Sincere condolences to their family, friends and those who knew them well. RIP Kobe and Gianna

The VIP treatment at the Wildcats home game on Saturday night and meeting the retired players, Eric Watterson and James Jackson. 14.01.2022 An absolute privilege to host NBA Star Jim Cleamons and to be able to immerse him in our culture with a visit to Kings Park, the Roundhouse in Fremantle followed up by a visit to Maalinup Gallery. Its always important to give our international guests some insight into our culture. So a day of relaxation Jim called before he gets into the gym with the many young people waiting for him to share his basketball skills and knowledge with them. Such humility and grace despite his status, a real gentleman.
