24.01.2022 I think I must be having withdrawal symptoms from this office. I came in for 10 minutes at 10.00 to do my daughter Nicole a favor and I am just now leaving after telling my self about 10 time to go and get you prescriptions and go home. I did 3 things for the show and the rest of the time I sat here and read peoples comments on face book It was quite enjoyable so I might have to do it again. No one can say I don't take my volunteer work seriously. Ha Ha
24.01.2022 Ok harassed myself to have a shower and get dressed this morning to come to the office because boy I wanted to stay home and keep reading a good book I'm reading and then get on the mower but being a good volunteer I thought go you homebody you, you will use any excuse to stay home. Off I go, check mail ( none ), go to office turn on computer and stuff and then pick up phone to ring doctor, the doctor's voice message we are not open until Tuesday, thought that's odd and rang my daughter to find out what? She said Mum where's your head it is a public holiday. My thoughts were not something I can write on this page so I am going home every body. Have a good day and yes you can pity me for a moment because wow what away to start your week.
21.01.2022 Today would have marked Show Day for us this year, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, unfortunately we had to make the tough decision to cancel this year. We plan to return bigger and better next year under much better circumstances and can't wait to welcome you all through our gates again for our iconic show. For this year, the committee, the stewards and all our hard working volunteers have enjoyed a few more restful nights in the lead up to what would have been this ye...ar's show day . Better enjoy it crew before planning for next year starts! For now at least, we'll leave you with a few moments captured at last year's show for you to reminisce until next year. Until then, from all the crew, happy 2020 Pioneer Valley Show Day.
20.01.2022 The Health and Harmony Day which was booked at the Pioneer Valley Show Hall on the 5th April has been postponed for now with a later date to be decided when all the restrictions have been lifted. Ruth and all involved are sorry for this but it was out of her hands.

11.01.2022 Gold-dusted Bottlebrush This hardy, attractive shrub, with showy red flowers will be available at the free plant giveaway at MNEC (6 Swayne Street, North Mackay...) this Friday and Saturday from 8am to 11am. Just bring along your rate notice to collect your four free plants. It grows up to six metres tall, but can be kept pruned, or used as a hedge. It attracts insects such as bees and a range of native birds. A variety of plants will be available at the giveaway, so whether you live on a large property, or only have a small balcony, you are sure to find a local native plant that is just right for your garden.
11.01.2022 Due to a miscalculation on the secretary's part (that's me)the wrong date was put on the AGM invitations which I have been sending out for the last few weeks for when nomination's needed to be in. The correct date is Saturday 07/11/2020 by 2.30 pm. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused and I hope this still gives you time to send in your nomination if you were interested in doing so. Looking forward to seeing all of our members and guests at the meeting. Rhonda sorry Chris thanks for the heads up.
10.01.2022 Good Morning All There is a new look pavilion schedule posted on our web page. If you are interested in entering any pavilion goodies now is a good time to either download schedule or print schedule so you can get started on your projects or start the children on their masterpieces. I hope you find the new look easier to follow as that was our aim. Looking forward to seeing all your projects on show day. Rhonda
09.01.2022 Cancellation of the 2020 Pioneer Valley Agricultural Show Society Inc. It is with great sadness and disappointment that we advise the Pioneer Valley Agricultural Show Society Inc. has decided to cancel this year's annual show scheduled for 14th June 2020 due to the ongoing Corona-virus (COVID-19) pandemic. The committee for the show society held a meeting on the 7th of April and reached the decision to cancel after lots of hair pulling and discussions. We did not reach this d...ecision easily as we all look forward to seeing friends, interacting with our great volunteers, sponsors and show people every year. We understand the meaning and significance of the show in our local region, however the decision to cancel is based solely on placing the health, safety and well-being of our community first and foremost. We appreciate your patience and understanding over the coming weeks, as we navigate through contacting all appropriate sponsors, exhibitors, stall holders and other show persons during the Show cancellation process. We hope when restrictions are lifted we will be able to hold other community events. We look to you for your support for next year and hope this year holds not too many disappointments. Thank you very much for your support and understanding. Rhonda.

06.01.2022 Good Morning All, This is just a friendly reminder to all members and friends that this year's AGM is on this Saturday 5th December at 3.00 pm. I hope you can all come and join in at the meeting as well as enjoy the BBQ after. Our meat is bought from Mirani Meats which is always the best meat around, soft and tender and juicy. Our President tries to make the meetings short and sweet because it is so hot at this time of year. Looking forward to seeing many of our members on this day. Good luck with the lucky door meat tray and please remember to grab a ticket at the door.
06.01.2022 Love the new cover picture. Thanks Kristanne

01.01.2022 Hi All The photography stewards are looking for any one male or female who would be interested in helping with the photography section on the weekend of the show. These ladies come in on the Saturday to set up displays of photos that people enter into the show so that the judges can see them in a nice setting and judge accordingly and also on show day itself. It only requires a small portion of your time and benefits the ladies so all can have a family time out to see part of the show with their children etc etc. If you are interested please contact me at the show hall on 49583162 / 0437672596 or leave a message here on our page and I will get back to you. Thank you. Rhonda.
