25.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we inform our Pipe Band community of the passing of Grace Neal, wife of former President of the VHPBA and Haileybury Drum Tutor, Bruce Neal. Grace’s contribution to our community was considerable, serving as an active member of the Ladies Committee for many years and also fundraising for the VHPBA. She is also remembered for her support during Bruce’s involvement with both Haileybury and Melbourne. On behalf of PBV, we extend our deepest sympathy and offer our condolences to Bruce, Grace’s family and friends.

21.01.2022 Pipe Bands Victoria acknowledges the passing of Stan Campbell. Stan has been a member of the Pipeband Community for over 70 years, being a member of a number of bands over the years. Including Scottish Ex Service Pipe Band, A Foundation member of the Rats of Tobruk Memorial Pipe Band, City of Preston Pipe Band... Clans of the West Pipe Band, Clan MacLeod Pipe Band Bendigo, A remembrance service for Stan will be at William Farmer Funerals 12 Victoria St Eaglehawk On Friday the 26th of February At 11am. All band members are encoraged to wear tartan

17.01.2022 The Robe to Recovery program for veterans is looking to secure the services of a bagpiper and /or drummer to perform during Robe’s commemorative ANZAC Day events on both Saturday 24th and 25th April:- play at half time during the football game on Saturday 24th April and to lead the Anzac Day March on Sunday 25th April. Travel and accommodation costs will be supported. 12.01.2022 The Sir Rupert Hamer Award is awarded annually in honour of our inaugural V.H.P.B.A. Chieftain, Sir Rupert Hamer AC, KCMG, ED. Nominees should be persons who have made a significant personal commitment in support of the objectives of Pipe Bands in Victoria and the V.H.P.B.A. over a period of many years. The nominee's support can be as a piper, drummer, drum major, tutor, administrator, or a combination of musician/administrator. 05.01.2022 The Ringwood Highland Games & Celtic Festival has released a statement to stakeholders including Pipe Bands Victoria to advise that their committee has decided to postpone this year’s event scheduled for 28th March 2021 until early October 2021. The Gathering Committee have postponed the Ceilidh until early October as well. Precise dates and venue are under negotiation with the local council and further information regarding the date and venue will be forwarded by Pipe Bands ...Victoria as and when it comes to hand from the Gathering Committee. We invite all members and friends to support them with the virtual gathering in July, and rescheduled gathering in October 2021.
