24.01.2022 Australian War Memorial honours Dominion Yachtsmen Scheme On Thursday, 4 May, a plaque dedication ceremony was held at the Australian War Memorial to honour the little known Dominion Yachtsmen Scheme. They volunteered for duty in the darkest days of 1940 when the Admiralty called on the Dominions for men to serve in the Royal Navy. The plaque dedicated at the Australian War Memorial is a significant step in telling their story, a small band of men from Australia who did us and their service proud, and of whom we are proud. - See more at: http://dra.org.au/latest-news-//dominion-yachtsmen-scheme/

21.01.2022 Great article by Roland Perry ... Why write MONASH AND CHAUVEL? It’s now nearly a century since the deciding year of the First World War, 1918. I wanted a book that encapsulated the impact of the First AIF in the two major fronts of that War. The best way was to combine the two narratives in one. By a bit of luck it worked.
