25.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW??? That over 80% of dogs have significant Dental Disease by the age of 3 Why should you be worried about Dental Disease?... An animals mouth is the perfect incubator for bacteria Over time this bacteria will form plaque on the surface of the teeth which leads to inflammation of the gums. Eventually resulting in periodontal disease - in this condition the inflammation causes infection and destruction of the tissue (including the bone) around the tooth. Bacteria in the mouth can also spread through the blood stream to all organs in the body. The heart, kidneys and liver can be seriously affected by this bacterial spread. Poor dental hygiene can be a source of long term pain and discomfort for many pets. Most owners are unaware of this discomfort because most animals will not cry out in the presence of such pain - they do very well to tolerate it.

24.01.2022 WARNING WARMER WEATHER With the weather warming up it’s important to recognise when the ground/back of a ute is too hot for your dogs paws. If you cannot hold the back of your hand face down on the surface for 30 seconds it’s too hot. Please ensure your dog has access to shady areas, and that ute’s have adequate flooring for example carpet. *rubber mats can also get extremely warm*

The 4cyte is administered orally and is available in two options, granule and a liquid form. Both forms are administered directly onto your pets food for consumption. How easy! Is it flavoured? Yes. 4cyte comes in a tasty cream flavour. Clinical study trials have shown that 4cyte has a 100% palatability rate which means every dog loves it! 11.01.2022 Let's talk about secondary poisoning. It is definitely a thing! Since January this year we have run over 500 clotting tests in clinic, to test for rat bait poisoning ... We have seen poisoning from both first and secondary ingestion. Secondary poisoning occurs from pets eating baited live/dead mice and rats, the ingestion of even the smallest amount of bait still has a detrimental effect on your pet. To prevent this, it is best to discard any dead mice/rats on your property or around your house. Also ensure that your pets have no access to any baited areas. If your pet has ingested bait through first or secondary ingestion, it is best to contact your Veterinary clinic ASAP for immediate medical attention. Ingestion of any kind requires medical attention and will not pass with time or ANY home remedies! If you require more information please feel free to contact the clinic on 02 6766 3088!
