22.01.2022 When Rohan says he met Coutney over a dead body he isn't joking! They first met at University during a Neuroanatomy lab surrounded by cadavers. In spite of the not-so-romantic setting it wasn't long until sparks between these two started to fly. She thought he was tall, lanky and a little nerdy looking while he immediately thought she was pretty cute. ... They were both taken by surprise by a love they can only describe as unorthodox but beautiful. Rohan told us it wasn’t until a few months after we met that he considered a relationship, but from that point on he fell madly in love, SUPER fast. Courtney ticked a LOT of boxes very early on and he would go to great lengths to spend as much time as possible with her. Although the moment he realised she was the one was really unexpected. He was on a run at night a few months after they started officially dating. While running over a bridge he suddenly stopped and a thought came over him. ‘I want to marry this girl’. Everything about Rohan and Courtney is authentic, beautiful, graceful, generous and kind. It was an absolute pleasure and an honour to share their day with them. 21.01.2022 Hey lovers! We're looking for a couple who recently got married and would be keen to make a cameo appearance in an upcoming promo video we're filming for Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat at their beautiful rock cathedral. Essentially, it's a short promo video featuring the space and we need a couple, in their wedding dresses/suits, walking through the venue. It's a quick, stunning, 10-seconds of footage.... The filming dates we're looking at are Friday 4th December or Tuesday 8th December and we can be a little flexible with time, as long as we can get great day light. 18.01.2022 These two first met when Michael moved into Emily's share house. Their whole story feels like a romance novel. Only one month after breaking the 'don't date your housemate' rule, Michael left the country for a five month trip overseas. Emily missed him so much she booked flights and flew half way around the world to meet him in New York.... They got engaged at Bawley Point and about a year later tied the knot at the beautiful nearby Bawley Bush Retreat. During their portrait session they secretly told us that they'd just found out they were pregnant - over the moon about the adventure that awaits them in their new future together as husband and wife. When we asked them how they saw their future together they said, 'We want to be that old couple that still can’t keep their hands to themselves, we want the laughter to never stop and the love and support to only grow stronger.' 17.01.2022 The best word to describe Jess and Jye's wedding would be fun. Filled with so much energy and colour I really thought we'd need a fast-paced, quick-cut party edit to tell the story of their day. But the more I looked through the footage and reflected on all those special raw, unrehearsed moments tucked around the formalities there was such depth - like tiny glimpses into the soul of their relationship. This is something we really love about editing each wedding outside of a ...preconceived idea or template. Every wedding we edit has the space to unfold into it's own unique story. If we'd crammed this gorgeous day into a traditional wedding template I think we would have really missed that magical spark between these two lovers. We're so happy Jess and Jye picked such a dream venue - Adams Peak Country Estate suited them perfectly and everything about the location provided an ideal backdrop for an unforgettable day. This was such as special wedding - it was one of those days where you were either laughing or crying without much in between. We loved every minute. 16.01.2022 I knew straight away the kind of wedding film I wanted to create for Tara and Keith. Something that highlighted their family and their deep love for all the people in their lives. I've never seen a bride and groom so beautifully and strategically shift the focus of their day towards their family, loved ones past and present - with these two everyone is family and family is everything. 15.01.2022 I was absolutely devastated when I first read Lanise's email enquiry - I instantly loved her vibe and wanted to film her wedding but we were already booked on their wedding date. I honestly wanted to cry. And then there was a date change with our previous booking and suddenly we were available, the stars aligned, and much like Lanise and Kieran's love story - it took awhile for things to fall in place but in the end it was just meant to be. Lanise and Kieran were high school ...sweet hearts but after graduating they parted ways - each setting off on their own journeys to discover the world. They knew they had something special when years later they crossed paths again and that spark was still there - through all the distance and time apart, they were still in love with each other. One of the best parts of this wedding was the way Lanise and Kieran enjoyed the day with their children by their side - nothing was rushed or glossed over - there was space to twirl around the room before the ceremony, dance with their parents, spend time with their guests and play with their kids. We really wished we could have included all of Lanise's dad's speech - it was one of the most heartfelt father of the bride speeches we've ever heard. 11.01.2022 Ellie and Geoff tied the knot on the beautiful grounds of the Glen Ewin Estate just outside of Adelaide. Their wedding was absolutely stunning, complete with champagne tower and a magical first-look. Everything about this day was perfect...but most of all Ellie and Geoff are perfect for each other. ... We asked Geoff Mills and Ellie Mills to share a little something about their story so far before their big day. Here's what they had to say: Q: How did it all begin? A: We first met at Geoff's house and shared a couple of glasses of wine together. Our first official date was the next day out to the Barossa Valley to a few wineries. This was the day I worked out that Geoff was different to anyone else, we shared a bottle of wine at Seppeltsfield winery and sat on the hill in the sun getting to know eachother. I instantly loved Geoff's personality and his gorgeous smile. We have spoken and saw eachother most days since the day we met. When I was talking to my bestfriend Jemma about Geoff she first didn't think that he existed. I remember going over to meet him on the Friday night and telling Jemma I was going to meet a guy called Geoff and she instantly thought he was fake as I hadn't heard of any Geoffs under the age of 35! Once I told her and all my family about him they were so excited to meet him. He is completely different to any other guy I have ever introduced to my parents. I was so nervous as he is so quiet compared to my loud family but they all loved him! Q: How did you know you'd found 'the one'? A: Gradually after the first few months and a short trip to Melbourne together early on, I knew that I didn't want to live without Geoff. I remember it being winter and I had a cold and I went to his house and he had a 'Ellie's survival pack' made up for me on the dining room table, with cold and flu tablets, chocolates, orange juice and flowers - I think from this day I realized Geoff was a keeper and I wanted to be with him forever. I think our love grew gradually over the first 6 months we were dating, I was still working him out and we were learning so much about each other. I believe I was the first one to say I love you! But he never hesitated to say it back straight away! 10.01.2022 We absolutely loved everything about this wedding...and it's not just because we're friends with Sophie and Dan and many of their friends are our friends. It was also because it was fun, creative, spontaneous, full of personality, relaxed and, best of all, there were three wedding cakes! 09.01.2022 'Having been on the fence about getting a videographer, we are so certain now that we made the right decision in choosing Fyona and Dave to film our day! The final product is just such a stunning summary of the entire day, and is so us- it’s certainly not a generic wedding film. 08.01.2022 Mariah and Scott met each other at Big Day Out in 2011. They met in the Rammstein mosh pit. The first thing that Mariah noticed about Scott was the purple colour of his skin, caused by the lack of sun screen worn that day. She could not explain it, but something drew her to him. When Rammstein had stopped playing, he said goodbye but Mariah could not leave him and ended up following him and talking to him for the rest of the night. When she later described him to her friends ...it was always as the guy she met at Big Day Out. Then it was the guy that loved all the things she loved. Then it was Scott. Mariah couldn't describe that feeling she had the first time they met but it was a feeling that if he left, then something would be missing. She says they gradually fell in love over the next ten months, even before they officially called it a relationship. These two lovers would spend hours talking on the phone each night and talked about everything and anything. Mariah thinks she said I love you first, which was only two months into their actual relationship but they both agreed that they had loved each other for so much longer than that moment. Scott always makes her laugh, without fail. He works so hard, is so loving and always makes her smile. Mariah says Scott doesn't understand how kind, loving and beautiful he is. She says, "He is such a sweet soul and cares so much for our cats and for me. He makes me want to be a better person and makes me want to do my best so I can make him proud. When I speak about him it's about how much he cares, especially when I'm sick (since I'm pretty sick some times)." Their relationship, like their wedding day, is caring, loving and magical. There's something so very, very special about these two - it was an absolute honour to witness their unique, quirky, fun, romantic and incredible wedding day. 07.01.2022 Before every wedding we film we catch up with the couple to get to know them a little more and chat through their plans for the day. When I asked Jo and Josh how their relationship began I wasn't expecting them to say it was hate at first sight! After meeting at work it took these two awhile to figure out they were perfect together - but once they did they became inseparable. As Josh says in his speech - these two were destined to be together and we couldn't agree more. 07.01.2022 Zoe and James's love story is straight out of a modern day romance novel - from Tinder to a dead seal on a Tasmanian beach their story will have you laughing one minute and blinking back tears the next. We really love it when we can take the time to capture our couples engagement stories before their big day - it's so lovely to spend some time together, share stories, chat about wedding plans and really get a feel for who they are and what they love about each other before b...eing thrown into the hectic whirlwind of the wedding day. There's instantly no question as to why James and Zoe have chosen to spend their lives together - she's the yin to his yang and his the roadside mechanic she'd always dreamed of. We really hope this little film with help remind these two of where their story started and the journey that lead them to their big 'I Do' in October 2020.
