23.01.2022 I have fallen in love.... How many of you ladies remember Trinny Woodall? I was kind of obsessed with her and her stylist partner in the early 00's and their show "What Not To Wear". I still adhere to many of their style principles even today. I've recently rediscovered her through the cross-promoting magic of podcasting and I could not be more delighted! She posts on her insta her daily skincare, makeup, fitness and wardrobe routines. I personally find her duclet tones so so...othing, and her candour belies her oh-so-posh accent. I cannot get enough! I had a proper laugh out loud moment just now watching today's story in which Trinny braves the home eyelash tint gauntlet where in true COVID MacGyver-esque style, she uses one of her dog’s nappies in lieu of cotton pads (genius hack!) So relatable as I just snaffled the last remaining dark brown tint from Priceline Australia last week and had almost the exact same experience of getting the dye in my eyeball! So if you need a little more glamour, real-girl-talk and humour in your life I highly recommend jumping on Trinny’s story RIGHT NOW before it disappears forever.

18.01.2022 Wishing all you awesome mums a wonderful #mothersday2020 The One Where We Were in Quarantine

18.01.2022 So it turns out I am missing wearing heels so much I have taken to dressing up for Zoom meetings What are you doing to stay in touch with your wardrobe?

18.01.2022 It's been pretty quiet around here for a couple of months and now we're starting to see the light at the end of the COVID tunnel... I know that everyone has been dealing in their own way so I'd love to hear about your iso experiences. Have you been using the time to focus on yourself and your goals? Have you just been chilling?... Have you gone on a cleaning and organising rampage? I know some of you have because there are like, no baskets, jars or canisters left in Kmart!! Or are you, like me, somewhere in between on any given day ? Just know that however you have chosen to deal is perfect for you

17.01.2022 Just a happy bouncy puppy to brighten your day

14.01.2022 #passionproject sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day that we forget to work on things that just feed our souls. Today I had the great privilege of working (at a social distance) with my #photographyguru @johnwaddphoto and my creative tank has been filled! Can’t wait to share more of this incredible project when it’s complete...

14.01.2022 Shall We Play a Game? Pro Photo Challenge: DAY 1 - Babyhood With a little extra time on our hands these last few days the kids and I have been getting a little nostalgic and going through our old photo boxes.... It's been so much fun to reminisce about "the good old days", share stories of relatives and friends and for the kids to uncover memories they had long forgotten. So I thought it might be fun to share some professional photography images of myself from throughout my life and the stories they stir up, and I would love it if you would join in with me. Over the next few days I'm going to share some images from my childhood, teens (Yikes - hello awkward!) and early adulthood that have been take by professional photographers. Let's start with babyhood. This is me...age 4 months My mum is 18 and a half. Isn't sh gorgeous?! I love that mum writes on the back of her photos. Not only does it give me the important info like when, where and who but I also have her handwriting. I just find that really special. I also love that my mum is actually in this series of images. Come to think of it, we have so few professional photos together...How about you? What professional photos do you have with your mum? I can think of only another three times we've had pro images together. Some of them will feature late in the week so stay tuned. So do you have any pro photos of you as a baby that you'd like to share? I would love to see them!!

03.01.2022 Pro Photo Challenge: DAY 2 - Early Childhood My mum is going to kill me for posting this... Everybody smiles in a PixiFoto...... Yep, this pic is a PixiFoto. Really the only story behind this image is that I ended up starting my photography career with this company in 1996. The real story is what happened yesterday. And that's why mum is going to kill me. I know it's not the most flattering photo of her in that screenshot but I've definitely looked better myself! Anyway I wanted to ask her which of the two photos I had was taken first so we worked out how to use messenger video chat and I got my answer...90 minutes later! Would you believe that mum and I have never actually video chatted before this social isolation thing, even though she lives 125km away? So, we talked about the pictures and the memorabilia I had unearthed while searching for photos for this little project. She shared some other mementos from my childhood that she had close to hand. Including my baby book, the card from my hospital crib and ankle band! Most special of all was a note, hand written by my mum, about the story of my birth. She describes how I was four weeks prem and how worried she was that she was unable to hold me for 24 hours while I spent time in a humidi-crib in intensive care. Can you imagine being a scared, 18 year old first time mum, enduring a pretty tough labour and then not being able to hold your baby? She ends the note "...at last I could take her home at age 4 weeks. She was a very good natured baby and a joy to love and care for." It was really special. Soooo have you had a chance to dig out your old pro photos yet? What gems have you unearthed and what conversations have you started?
