20.01.2022 MASK UPDATE All people in health care settings must wear a mask (covering mouth and nose) at all times when in the physical presence of other people on th...e premises (with exceptions). Reusable cloth masks can now be accepted in some health care settings. Single-use surgical masks should be worn in some clinical environments. All people includes: care providers patients clients administrative and other staff employees visitors students contractors any other person on the premises There are exceptions for mandatory mask use in health care settings: A patient or client and/or a person providing care is not required to wear a mask if the wearing of a mask will hinder the provision of the relevant care and/or impact patient or client safety. Hospital inpatients are generally not expected to wear masks except when being transported through public spaces. A person receiving individual care in their own home is not expected to wear a mask. A person is not required to wear a mask if they have a relevant medical condition, including problems with their breathing, a serious condition of the face, a disability or a mental health condition A person is not required to wear a mask in circumstances where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication, such as to enable communication by or with any person who is deaf or hard of hearing A patient or client under the age of 12 is not required to wear a mask A resident or live-in staff member of a residential care facility is not required to wear a mask, including in circumstances in which it is not possible to comply with the physical distancing principle. A person will be considered to be in the physical presence of another person if they are in the same room as that other person. Anyone who attended Woodville High School, 11 Actil Avenue St Clair, on M...onday 23 November 2020 must isolate immediately with all members of their household until further notice. Woodville High School will be closed tomorrow to undergo deep cleaning and to allow SA Health to conduct detailed contact tracing and risk assessment. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should present for testing as soon as possible. 17.01.2022 Masks are mandatory as of midnight tonight!



14.01.2022 Following SA Health direction effective as of midnight tonight (Monday 30th November). ALL people are required to wear single use surgical masks when on healthcare sites. This includes all staff, GP’s, patients & family members of patients, not including children from 12 years and younger. Cloth masks are not acceptable, all masks must be surgical masks. ... To further ensure safety and minimise COVID risk please remain 1.5 distance away from others. IF IN DOUBT please phone for advice from reception prior. Thankyou for your help in assisting us with this new direction. Refer to SA Health website for further information.

06.01.2022 As we head in to a 6 day strict lockdown with a further 8 days of unknown restrictions, our team here at Pirie Medical Centre would like to stress to you that we ARE here for you. As our Doctor’s, Nurse’s and Staff are deemed essential, We will continue to go to the office each day to keep things running to the absolute best of our ability. However, unfortunately no patients will be allowed on the premises. As per our previous post, for the next 6 days we will be consulting... ONLY by phone. We apologise if you have not yet been phoned to advise the change in your appointment if you have one booked over the next 6 days, our staff are working efficiently to do so and will be in touch in due course. Clinpath laboratories will be closed for the 6 days. If you have a medical emergency, please present to the emergency department. We realise this is a very frustrating time for everyone, it’s also very frustrating for our team. But nonetheless, we are in this together and we are here for you!
