06.01.2022 The run-up to the 2021 Pirtek Fishing Challenge is underway with registration now open to all. The Pirtek Fishing Challenge’s goal is to raise funds for the Peter Duncan Neurosciences Research Unit St Vincent's Curran Foundation and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. The Pirtek Fishing Challenge, now in its 13th year has raised over $1.2 million for charity in that time. This year sees several significant changes. Historically, the event has been a one-day event in mi...d-March but has now become a two-day event on the 17th & 18th of April. The Challenge is also offering a record, $240,000 in cash and prizes for just registering and for on-the-water fishing. The PIRTEK Pit stop Challenge saw two BJR crews go head-to-head in the initial heats with the #8 car moving forward to the final. You couldn't split Shell V-Power Racing Team and the Red Bull Holden Racing Team in their heat - to be fair, the semi-final event was re-run with the #17 pushing ahead.... In what was a familiar line-up in the final, BJR came out on top, convincingly claiming the trophy and $20,000. Mark Perry, our Bathurst Sales Manager handed over the golden rattle gun to the team.
