25.01.2022 Works continue, backstop painted buff, today target backers and frames are up, 2 rows of lights repositioned, shooting line benches rotated not yet fixed, starting to look like an Air range again, more to come.

23.01.2022 Quite a busy little hive of activity out here of late, some good productive stuff coming out of the air shed by juniors and seniors. No job is complete until the paperwork is done Haley

23.01.2022 Air range?? who said that, well it almost is again, bulk of the heavy stuff is done, lights moved bench moved, back wall up. Bit of painting to go, bit of electrical then to build on the additional 6 bays with returns. Seen enough of a ladder for a few years

18.01.2022 MAY 16th & 17th 2020 ISSF OPEN, entry forms have been emailed out with a print error to the BSB, the bsb suggested is invalid and only used for cheque clearing so BSB 633-000 please for direct deposit. Sorry for confusion, must have a virus.

16.01.2022 Slowly, slowly, backstop framework done, backstop 6m down, 9m to go, should knock that over tomorrow. Support framework done. Might employ the services of resident paintman John for scuff and seal then buff paint job.

13.01.2022 Busy night, juniors fired up at training pre Yarra State titles.

13.01.2022 Proud junior members in attendance to collect the generous offering from Mildura City Council tonight for the Air Pistol range expansion. $6k, this is additional to the $4.7k grant from 2018 for pavement works making for a safer pavement for our seniors, thankyou Mildura City Council. Cheerin.

13.01.2022 4 degrees outside, feels like 2, junior training tonight compliant social distancing, sanitation, tick, tick. Sighters plotting shot with no scope or returns. Competition card, winner with most accurate plot and highest acceptables Kathie. 2nd competition card plotting shot, non shooting arm, winner Viona. 3rd competion card, shooting arm, most acceptables most accurate plot, winner Talia. 4th competition card, 10 shots 5 minutes, most acceptables, winner Lincoln with 9, very close 2nd Viona and Talia. Good nights work in the cold

12.01.2022 Slowly slowly as she goes, wont be long. Lovely day, just a bit nippy in the morning.

12.01.2022 The wrap up, Junior Women Air State title with some credible scores from others. Women Air State title, also to Talia Woodroffe new Junior women state record, most Mildurans podium in their grades, bunch of silver & bronze. Bunch of Competition PBs. Road trip home now in the Elders bus, cheers Elders for your generosity, Simon Heuzenroeder.

12.01.2022 THANKYOU to Merbein & District Community Bank Branch Bendigo bank for ongoing generous support, helping us to better our sport and facility.

10.01.2022 Recent squall has wreaked havoc, blowing the Action shed apart, blowing a substantial tree down over fence line and leaving Range 1 like a war zone, the front edge of range 5 lifted roof and all others with loose roof panels. Kind donation by Konnect fastenings of Mildura will see to roof nails being replaced with roofing screws at next working bee. Concrete works now done from range 4 to range 1 making pavement much safer.

10.01.2022 Well it has been a busy Air range this Winter. Some newbies, fullhouse of juniors and some seniors. Performances are coming along nicely says the coach, focus now on October to be bringing some SA State titles back over the border to enjoy a dust storm or 2 and a proper Milduran Summer.

10.01.2022 And so the road trip begins. The slow road to Yarra Pistol club for Vic ISSF State titles, well not so slow in the Elders Insurance Mildura, Broken hill and Southern Fleurieu minibus, thanks for the wheels guys. 16 on board another being collected near Horsham from school camp in a little while.

09.01.2022 Slowly, slowly, well maybe not so, backstop is up and painted, target lights down and ready to relocate, target rail ready to mount, kids are excited just havent realized yet that the painting is up to them, next week firing line bench relocate and remaining lights to move and it will look somewhat like an Air range, an awesome one at that. First session back on outdoor range this week, Air outdoors in the cold Calling the shot without a scope or return targets, challenging

08.01.2022 Air range works and extension has started (going from 9 bays to 15), albeit with delays resultant of COVID-19, a storage shed dismantled and literally a tonne of cardboard relocated, footings dug, to the surprise of those in attendance measurements were not quite in line with suggested dimensions and framework is ready for assembly. Trench dug (bonus while machine was available) in readiness to extend our camping area electrical capacity.

08.01.2022 Fresh back from YARRA pistol club attending Vic State Titles, a swag of medals and plaques came with us. PBs shot by Kathie, Chloe, Imogen, Talia & Mark. State title successfully defended by Talia and along the way, picking up a new Junior Women Air record and the Women Air state title hard fought by some very solid experienced Women, Woo Hoo, go Talz, SMART training and hard work pays. MILDURA OPEN MAY 16 & 17 is a go, just a little disorganized, can register interest here in the interim. Cook up SATURDAY night, bring something.

06.01.2022 Recent State title attendance to Yarra Pistol club has seen a successfully defended Junior Women Air pistol title to Talia and along the journey, winning the Women Air pistol title to make a pair in Victoria and South Australia. Hard working support group and dedicated training schedule pay dividends for all to share and enjoy.

05.01.2022 Getting ready for this weekends Service Open. Its a wee bit windy and dusty out there as natures blower vac helps out. Will literally blow-over by tomorrow afternoon in time for a great weekend. See you there! Rick & Haley.

05.01.2022 Slowly, slowly, westside wall is up. Roof and gutters are on. Now the hard stuff starts, turning a north range to a west range. Target returns easy, lighting not so, moving a 9m bench and construcing 6m more even less so. Keeping at it.

04.01.2022 Slowly slowly as she goes, won't be long. Lovely day, just a bit nippy in the morning.

04.01.2022 Recent trip to SA for State titles for a few members was rewarding, hosted by Loxton pistol club at Berri pistol club and a fine job it was. Food a plenty, 75 entries, largest in SA for some years probably due in part to the Vic onslaught. some pics from the titles, grinners must be winners.

03.01.2022 Small win recently, just a little weight to it, boardroom table, has freed up a metre of floor space simply allowing arm chairs to fit under it. Damn, cost us a slab. Thanks Ray of cloud copy click mildura.

02.01.2022 NEW ADVICE FROM VAPA Due to the ever-increasing spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus and the new restrictions on social gatherings at non-essential venues, the Executive hereby cancel till further notice, all State Titles, Opens and club matches including the 2020 Postal Competition, Firearm Safety Courses, Coaching and Range Officer courses effective immediately. Please DO NOT send entry monies to MPC for the May ISSF open as VAPA has cancelled all events. Refunds will be arranged for those already recd. Sorry folks, stay safe and healthy.

01.01.2022 In anticipation of Mildura Pistol Club hosting of the VAPA 2018 State Service Titles on the weekend of 17/18 November, heres a photo I took a while back of one of our club members sending some Hawkesbury River projectiles down-range. Or were they Black Widows? Who knows? But I know what your thinking: "Did he fire six shots, or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, Ive kinda lost track myself..." Cheers, Rick :-)

01.01.2022 Wee bit breezy, hope we will be sealed up tomorrow, then just the small task of moving range from firing north around 90 degrees to shoot west. Fair work load to go but we need 15 air bays
