25.01.2022 Weve done it again - pitt&sherry Building Surveying have been awarded Tasmanian Building Surveying Team of the Year 2018 from the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors, following on from both Tasmanian & National Team of the Year for 2017! Congratulations to the entire team on another fantastic year, delivering on some exciting projects both large and small.

25.01.2022 Its great to see that this important piece of Tasmanian health infrastructure is open to patients. A technically challenging building for us as the building surveyors which was rewarding to be involved in. Today we got to see the helipad in action which has a very impressive deck integrated fire fighting system installed [it can put out a fire in <15sec]. This building is also the first building in Hobart to have a lift based evacuation system if required. #buildingsurveying #royalhobarthospital

25.01.2022 Roland is currently in Canberra to attend the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors NCC 2019 Symposium. 24.01.2022 A sight that all building surveyors like to see: Cranes in the Sky! Here we have a great view of cranes working on the Royal Hobart Hospital Redevelopment, Argyle Street Hotel Project, Creative Industries & Performing Arts Precinct, and Hyatt Hotel Project. pitt&sherry Building Surveying are proud to be the building surveyors for all of these exciting developments.

23.01.2022 Welcome to 2021 everyone! As our team resume work after a well deserved break, this week we see the unveiling of the new Mövenpick signage - the finishing touch to the latest Hobart hotel. We're sure the those two abseiling to uncover the signage would have a terrific view!

23.01.2022 An interesting article from ABC News on the new hotel development at 39 Salamanca Place, a heritage building constructed in 1834. "Number 39 Salamanca Place has been a watering hole, a brothel and a popular nightclub. The three-storey sandstone building is now set for a new chapter as a boutique hotel, but retains plenty of tell-tale signs of its interesting former life." - ABC News

18.01.2022 Congratulations to Valley Workshop for winning the 2018 National Environmental and Energy Efficiency Commercial Building Award from Master Builders Australia. "Located in the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park at around 1000m above sea level, the site falls easily within the alpine Climate Zone of the National Construction Code. Delivered via a novel panelised construction system that was able to be flat-packed and helicoptered in.
