We are so excited to announce that we will be transforming into a Papilio Early Learning Centre and will be part of their large family of over 20 centres across Australia. 11.01.2022 http://Exploring STEM on Monday// Children at Pitt Town Early Learning Centre today engaged in making their very own coloured sugar crystals. Using natural food dye children mixed ingredients together until they formed a rainbow of coloured sugar crystals. Some coloured sugar crystals where placed into a jar to form a rainbow of colours and other sugar crystals where spaced out onto a baking dish to dry out! From here children will wait for the sugar crystals to dry to them make ...hundred and thousands for our food discovery classes. Challenging children’s ability through maths concepts mixing different quantities of materials together and enhancing children’s social skills.

09.01.2022 http://Chicken Paella// From community garden to plate! Children hand picked herbs and vegetables that have been grown and looked after on our gardening days at Pitt Town ELC. Miss Louise and her helpers combined all these ingredients and turned it into this beautiful chicken Paella dish! ... A great healthy experience for children to be apart of! Such a beautiful time of year with our garden blossoming.

Children identified letters of their name, then carefully glued the letters in order to create their name. After this was done our confident little learners used their imagination and decorated their masterpieces. ... Learning through fun engaging experiences!

07.01.2022 http://Food Discovery// Cooking is a messy, delicious and sometimes a very time-consuming activity when done with little helpers. Here at Pitt Town ELC we believe cooking is a fantastic way for children to explore science in action, build confidence, creativity, numeracy concepts, pre-literacy, time concepts, reading skills and communication skills. Children loved picking carrots out of our community garden, then turning our fresh produce into a delicious homemade carrot cake. Children visited a kindergarten room at the school where they were all welcomed as the upcoming 2021 students. Children listened to stories, participated in writing, numeracy and craft experiences. ... Children continued to strengthen friends, some even fostering new friendships. This experience was a solid foundation for children to start to establish change in learning experiences, new learning environments and also was a great time to ease questions children had for the huge transition to big school.
