17.01.2022 The team at Pittwater Orthodontics care greatly about the health and wellbeing of our patients, staff and surrounding family’s. The COVID-19 situation has been changing rapidly over past few days, with a global pandemic being declared by WHO, and Australia is escalating its emergency plan to restrict public events, while organisations are putting in place policies to limit the spread of the viruses through social contacts. As a professional health practice we have the respons...ibility to support the government and community’s efforts in responding to the challenges. We have decided to implement the following immediately: 1) IF you have ANY symptoms of cough, sore throat, fever please do not come to the surgery. 2) If you have arrived back or been in close contact with anyone who has been overseas in the last 14 days we ask you postpone your appointment until the Government recommended quarantine time of 14 days has been reached. 3) We ask where possible that ONLY the patient and one well guardian present to the surgery for appointments. 4) for now only the patient will be allowed in the clinic. 5) Anyone in treatment requiring elastic wear full time is asked to use correct hand hygiene techniques. If you are unable to do so please only wear your elastics when this is achievable ie, at home. Over night should still be worn. 6) Anyone required to wear a removable retainer is reminded to make sure you are washing your hands well before removing it from your mouth to your retainer box and before placing back into your mouth. We will update you as this situation evolves. For now we hope everyone is practicing correct hygiene measures and looking after themselves.

This is a great app you can use and send to your friends and family to download for free. We want our patients to keep up with oral hygiene instructions, this will send a reminder to brush and clean between your teeth. Has some great videos for you and information. 07.01.2022 As of tomorrow there will be team members in the practice. We’ll be working our way through contacting all our active patients. If you have an urgent matter please call in our temporary business hours 9-5 Mon-Thurs. When restrictions lift we will not rest until all our patients have been seen.
