The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (@RPAYC) in Sydney and the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (@RNZYS) in Auckland, have named Australia’s most famous sailor, James ‘Jimmy’ Spithill and one of New Zealand’s rising stars, Bianca Cook, as ambassadors for the inaugural Sydney to Auckland Ocean Race 2021. Latest PredictWind finish ETA is around 9pm tonight. Only food left onboard is breakfast cereal so looking forward to hitting the Southport Yacht Club 24 hour bistro tonight after arrival for dinner.’

Tough conditions on Saturday with Pittwater on Sunday Turing the dial up for perfect conditions and racing. Thank you to @ensign_yachts for their support of the weekend and the Sydney 38s for their National Championship. 08.01.2022 The team onboard Ocean Gem with owner David Hows arrived last night crossing the finish line at 23:40 AEDT. A marathon effort of 4 days and 11 hours.
08.01.2022 Congratulations to the 2019 Club Marine Pittwater to Paradise Mulithull Line Honours and OMR winners ‘Rushour’. Update from the team below To finish 1st, first you have to finish... Rushour 1st over the line across both multihull and monohull fleets and 1st OMR 2019 Pittwater to Paradise Yacht Race with Drew Carruthers (owner/skipper), Becky Moloney, Dave Richardson, Jon Thorpe, James Dahl and offshore newby Stuart Cox. Tough upwind race with 30 knot northeaster, becalmed and everything (the north wind can give you) in between. Not a spinnaker to be seen. After the first day, it was actually beautiful weather.
