24.01.2022 WOW - these will certainly go a long way to keeping some of our community clients warm and dry over these crisp, chilly nights. A big THANK YOU to the kindhearted person who donated these swags to us at Pivot, how good it is to consider those less fortunate and doing it tough.

15.01.2022 HOMELESSNESS WEEK SLEEPOUT - hosted by ACF: It was all happening in the Town Square last night. Was so good to see enthusiastic support for this fundraising event. With the cold and the rain, it certainly helped to impress upon us the reality of some difficulties those who are homeless endure. Yet, they dont have the luxury of the open fires, the companionship of many friends and colleagues and the knowledge that its only for one night this is the reality they endure day after day, night after night and for some its ongoing year after year. All funds raised goes to assist those in need in practical ways i.e. the provision of swags, blankets, beanies and other useful items. Pivot also assist with advocacy for Housing, Centrelink, assistance with filling in forms etc.
15.01.2022 Wow... we'd like to say a big THANK YOU to Ray & Ros Gerovich at Bakers Food and Fuel for their ongoing support of our fundraising efforts. Thank you. :)
15.01.2022 Needing to buy a gift or just like viewing things unique to our South West area? Head out to Bakers Junction Food and Fuel (46458 South Coast Hwy, King River) and check out our fundraising Exhibition - it's on now and until further notice.

08.01.2022 Pivot Support Services provides valuable assistance to people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage. The Albany-based organisation started out as a suppor...t service for ex-offenders leaving the prison system back in 2005. Its work with the Department of Corrective Services on rehabilitation and reintegration programs continues, but in recent times Pivots services have broadened to include counselling and outreach for homeless and disadvantaged people. I was pleased to present Pivot with this $581,442 Lotterywest grant today to help provide emergency accommodation, other essential items such as food and clothing and outreach programs in the Great Southern region. Organisations like Pivot are a vital part of the community services sector. Thanks to them and others for helping to address the needs of vulnerable people through the COVID-19 pandemic.
