23.01.2022 This one goes out to all the Mamma's & Pappa's who are expecting babes in the coming months In these weird times I can only imagine how strange you must be feeling to be expecting your beautiful baby while this all plays out. I get daily emails from the Royal Women's hospital from my volunteer co-ordinator Niamh, and I can tell you that the hospital is in high spirits and keeping everything calm & clear while you visit for appointments or give birth, we are so very lucky to... live in this wonderful country with our top notch health care system, I truly hope that if you are pregnant, that you feel safe and secure at the moment. Things are very uncertain with photography at this stage, I have many pregnant couples expecting babies in the coming weeks who were having photos with me - and I want to reach out to any folks - if you are having your baby and wanted photos, but cant, please feel free to phone me & I can chat you through creative ways to take photos yourself in your home, I can give you tips & pointers to do this either with your phone or your pro camera if you have one. And I will even edit them free of charge if you send me them in high resolution. Having a baby is the biggest thing you do as a family, and if I can help in any way during this time, then I surely will. 21.01.2022 Darling baby Grace8 days old What a wonderful treat this morning was! I photographed wee Blake when he was a newborn, and Abbey & Justin were really sad when they realised we could not do the same session for darling Grace because of covid-19. Abbey & I chatted at length and we decided to do a social distancing session at their home for Grace's newborn session, we will follow this session up with another mini session when it is safe to do so with their extended family, I t...hink its a wonderful way to document baby Grace's arrival into the world! We kept strict distance from each-other, shooting through doorways & windows, I did not enter the house, instead I stood back instructing Abbey & Justin on exactly what to do, I told them where to move the furniture too, how to place fabrics, how to position wee Graces body all while using my 85mm lens which was fun as I don't really use that lens often, it requires me to stand back a long way - and I reckon it worked wonderfully! 17.01.2022 Hello beautiful folks Hows things? I hope everyone is safe and happy. I have some news in Pixie Rouge land, its big news indeed.... Firstly - I want to say that I have been so entirely moved by the beautiful people I have met over my 8 years running Pixie Rouge in Melbourne. Oh so many amazingly beautiful people, I can honestly say, I remember each and every one of you - I am so glad our paths crossed. We have been making some big decisions for our future these last few months & we have settled on one thing for sure - that is we are selling our beloved house & moving home to my home town in Oamaru, NZ we are absolutely excited about this adventure - we get to live around the corner from my mum & dad. Ill say that again - we get to live around the corner from my mum & dad We are not sure exactly when we leave yet, things are still in motion & there is a lot to do, but we hope to be back home as soon as we can. I am so overjoyed with this news! I left home when I was 18 years old, and always said I would probably never move back to Oamaru! I guess growing up and having a kid changes everything! We want to live around the corner from my mum & dad, we want Frankie to go to a small town school, we want to work hard to set ourselves up - both Sean & I are so overjoyed with this decision. Plus, Frankie thinks the Queen lives in Oamaru, so yeah, we will deal with that one at a later point Pixie Rouge will be coming with me to Oamaru. pps - None of this would not be possible without my amazing mum & dad! 15.01.2022 I don't suppose anyone would fancy a last session with me in Melbourne before we head home to NZ for good? Im deciding weather or not to hold a weekend in the Dandenongs for one last winter woodland play, Ill offer cute winter minis in the forest in deep winter, not for the faint hearted, it will be cold and if we are lucky we may hit fog - but I can assure you the photos you get will be outstanding It would be soon - like 3 weeks kinda soon, is anyone keen? 13.01.2022 Today I am placing an order online for 300 family photos to print I adore making home made photo albums, and I have about 2 years to catch up on! What better time to be doing this project - and I would love to encourage you to do the same, get your photos off your computer and into books or on your walls! I am also putting old family photos from my childhood into albums. I order my prints from michaels camera video digital you can do it all online and have them sent to you.... They are truly affordable and top quality, today I printed 300 photos sized 6x4 and it cost me $90, the quality from Michaels prints are the best for the price you pay . Personally I love matte paper when printing. Fine art prints are lovely when printing special photos to frame For albums I use Michaels normal photo printing paper I love dry mount albums because you can tell a story and write in them. I prefer to use the magic dots when mounting photos. I buy quality canvas albums that hold 200 - 300 6x4 prints. I normally buy these in David Jones or a high quality store, when I have time Ill try and find some links to share - Im just baking a cake with Frankie. When I saw all this virus business was happening, I went to a few op shops 3 weeks ago and found dry mount photo albums which I will turn into beautiful photo diaries for Frankie. * follow me She Hunts Op Shops for more crafty ideas of you dont already If this is a project you too have been meaning to do, its absolutely doable without having to leave your home! Order your prints from Michaels, find some photo albums online and get creative!

13.01.2022 Howdy Today I went around my neighbourhood & photographed 8 families - for free, because I can I reached out to my fellow neighbours on a FB group & offered my photography up, I met people on their front lawns while I stayed on the footpath and took some creative funky snaps.... People who's weddings had been postponed, people who had just given birth This filled many peoples hearts with love & magic, and that is something that makes me happy indeed. Love Anna x

13.01.2022 I decided to pick up Sean's filming gear & teach myself a new skill while in lockdown. I have documented this time in history for Frankie & us to look back on when she is older - I have filmed our everyday life in covid lockdown, including the supermarket madness & our beloved closed playgrounds. This film is for our own private collection - but I have decided to share it on my social media as we are all in this one together, I think some of you will enjoy watching this one

Darling baby Elizabeth was super cute, it was so special to be able to take these photos, newborn photography can not be postponed, and this is an amazing way to document the times for her birth. I'm loving the challenge of these sessions, the creative aspects I can offer are endless! ... 12.01.2022 I can't tell you how wonderful and amazing it was to photograph these wee pixies yesterday! I have been out of action since March due to covid, and now that Im back in Oamaru - its like a whole other world If anyone in Oamaru would like to take advantage of the blooms at the Gardens in a mini session over the next few days, drop me a message. They are on fire at this very moment & are making me a bit giddy! ... It would have to be soon as Im submerging myself in the forest at my folks hut over this weekend & will soon be knee deep in poop (thats soooo not the case, but Im sure it will make you all laugh a bit!) We take over our new business on the 1st Dec so I am unsure how busy I will be myself - but Ill always be hands down keen to take photos should anyone want them from me! 10.01.2022 Geez it was soooo good to get out of the house today to go and photograph darling baby Ebony! We had a social distancing session at Natalee & Stuarts funky home & the only thing missing was cuddles by me! I photographed baby Charlie when he was a newborn & I became cute friends with Natalee as we both had the same extremely rare birth difficulties with Frankie & Charlie, so to meet babe Ebony was just lovely! ... Its so wonderful to be doing these sessions its just so so wonderful!!!!!! Natalee

09.01.2022 Today I'm dry mounting this album with all my own childhood photos, it's been such a lovely task But the pic in the middle of the album made me giggle (zoom in) remember the days when you could go and hang out in the plane cockpit I'm also alarmed at our oh so 80's matching shirts * I got this album from michaels camera video digital today on my way home from Autumn Leaves sessions in Fitzroy Gardens it's such good quality and perfect for dry mounting. I highly recommend all the albums you find in Michael's This album requires no magic dots or tape. You simply peel the plastic back, lay the pics, the board is a touch sticky, then smooth the film back over, it sticks perfectly, I've made one 4yrs ago for Frankie's birth and its solid as. So easy! And you can add in more pages as you need them

04.01.2022 autumn leaves please sooooo I am guessing most of you have heard of the recent restrictions lifted for covid in Vic it does mean that we will be able to meet in a park and take some snazzy autumn leaves family snaps - YAY! 03.01.2022 Gosh I have not posted on Pixie Rouge in a while How crazy has this year been!!!! So much has happened and for the first time in a few months I came back to my page and looked at my lifestyle photos here and it bought instant tears to my eyes - I miss Pixie Rouge!!! We sold our house and have left Melbourne It was such a process just to get to where we are now - which is in NZ managed hotel isolation - day 5 ... We simply can't wait to get back home to Oamaru once we leave the hotel, and on the 1st Dec we take over our new business, its all super surreal and there are a zillion and one emotions, but mostly we are so grateful to have our health, our family & our friends safe & sound. I truly hope the same is for everyone reading this. Melbourne has been through the ringer ahy not a day goes by that I don't read the daily updates and talk to my friends there, and gosh darn I miss shooting! 2020 you are a real doozer! Here are some snaps of our journey from the airport and in hotel ISO, Im documenting the whole journey and as usual posting almost daily on my other blog She Hunts Op Shops I don't know when Ill do another photo session yet, it will certainly be in Oamaru though! 03.01.2022 While in isolation - we have been a touch productive I have been wanting to create a film like this of our home for sometime now, and well - I finally found the time! This is our home we built it just under 2 years ago, pretty much everything is op shopped, second hand or lovingly dragged in from the side of the road! 03.01.2022 We have some huge news that we can finally share We have bought a business in our home town of Oamaru NZ, it’s an awesome portaloo and waste management business that Sean & I will run together massive changes - we are absolutely thrilled with this new adventure! We have been working on this idea for some time now and it’s a bit surreal to finally have everything signed and sorted! ... Many of you know that Sean has a degree in sustainability & studied waste management so essentially this is right up his alley, his mind is already racing with ideas on how we can generate energy from the power of poop, all whilst creating fertiliser for local farms and ourselves These are established technologies so stay tuned for all the cool things we’ll do down the track. We even collect used cooking oil from local restaurants, so there’ll even be opportunities for creating our own biofuel to run our empire on. But cool ideas and seriousness aside, we are so excited about our pooh empire at the end of the day, we will still just be turd burglars (please feel free to add your jokes and pooh puns as you please, its been an ongoing source of laughter in our house of late, bring it on!) We feel so lucky to have this opportunity - to pack up our lives in Melbourne after living here for 9 years. I will be bringing Pixie Rouge back to Oamaru with me she is my baby, I will always be seen with my camera & I will continue to photograph in Oamaru This entire venture is all thanks to my Mum & Dad, they are the kindest, savviest and most loving parents ever! Without them, this would not be possible, we can’t thank you guys enough! Our future in Melbourne seemed so uncertain due to covid. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work hard and settle in Oamaru with my folks living around the corner and we can set a solid foundation down for our darling baby girl Frankie! 02.01.2022 How is everyone doing out there? This is my makeshift office for now - I've been sitting here for the last half hour and have gotten about 2mins work done (and I thought I was a bit of a wiz with this working from home with a toddler thing) lockdown is a whole other level! ha Thank you so much to my clients who are currently waiting for photos - these are insane times and even though Im home almost 24/7 I have not really had the capacity to work at my normal pace, in fact... for the past week I have not been able to work at all while we have been digesting this news and making preparations & changes, thank you thank you for your patience! So much love to everyone out there! Hope you are all safe and healthy. x

01.01.2022 Howdy How is everyone doing? Crazy times ahy! I have almost finished editing my last album, it was a beautiful newborn session that we did about a month ago - it is so weird editing it knowing that I have no more work after that.... I have had my baby Pixie Rouge up and running for 8 years, full time! Geez, that's insane that I have been supporting myself & our family with this amazing business that I created out of my own magic - and it is all because of YOU! I love my job with all my heart, and I pour so much into her - its a job that I take to bed with me, and its a love that I wake up to daily, I am always working with Pixie Rouge - so to be in this position where I am now - is super weird! I have decided to put Pixie Rouge to sleep now while this virus plays out, that's the weirdest feeling and to be honest Im nervous thinking about how I will wake her up! Everything stopped so suddenly, my clients have been wonderful, and whoever could, has postponed, but I have had a lot of cancellations too. I am just so stoked I was in a position to pay those clients back I miss my newborn shoots and Ill certainly miss my winter woodland sessions and my autumn leaves please mini's I am going to do a few front yard projects, some of those are with my newborn clients, Ill photograph through windows while families stay inside and Ill shoot from the front lawns Much love to all my beautiful wedding clients, what a time ahy!
