23.01.2022 Hi everyone, It is with a heavy heart that I write this. In light of the current national Covid-19 crisis, any date cancellations we receive (and there have been several) will not be getting filled. Whilst we had a heavy booking sheet for the next 3 months, - we will not be taking any bookings for this month and April. ... This ‘booking ban’ may continue into the traditional ‘flu season’ in Australia and we will revise it as the situation evolves. (Stay tuned!) I am very mindful of the health of ourselves, our staff, our hosts/clients and all their guests. This will be a balancing act for the best outcome for all people moving forward & I will do my best. We are following the Australian Government Health Guidelines and are reviewing it intently, as it is changing on a constant, short term basis. I feel mostly for the Brides and the Grooms they have been planning their ‘forevermore day’ for a long time, only to be impacted in the last weeks of planning... Some have postponed, some have cancelled (until further notice) I’m really sorry for this situation and I will work with you as much as I can Into the future, if they choose a date that has been reserved (by another client) for a birthday or family get together etc, I will be asking those clients if they are willing to give up their booking for these brides and grooms this will be the clients choice (as you know first in, first served!) and I will work with these clients to make their day (better than) as best as I can. 23.01.2022 Hey Aficionados, I hope everyone is keeping safe! Just wanted to share with you that we have been receiving enquiries for catering and have been accepting them. These bookings are well into the future. (end of this year and into next year) so things are still moving along.... It has been buoying my feelings and giving hope that in time, all this will calm down and we can get back to a degree of normality and there may even be toilet paper at the shops Here is a funny 'working from home' video. 22.01.2022 Weell aficionados, It's been awhile since I got the fingers onto the keyboard and share with you what we've been doing. We've officially entered the 'silly season' with weddings and then heading into Xmas events. Not to mention the TFBs (Total Fire Bans) to make life more interesting.... Since Lachlan’s party in the park, we were 'blown away' on the weekend of Quizzic Alley Halloween party (literally, not metaphorically) We didn't attend but boy did it blow a gale that weekend! Lucky we had shelter Then we catered Jordan’s 18th which was organised by mum, Bec - such a great group of people, especially the younger ones and their politeness. Had to give Hall Markets a miss, so I apologise to those that went to get a pizza fix and couldn't find us - we'll be there on Dec 1. Julie celebrated her birthday and got a cap - which the daughter stole I told Julie that daughter needs to have her own birthday party to get a cap! Culminating in last night - we had a great time at Jess and Jack’s wedding, along with 100 or so of their guests - I managed to get some pictures before we were put to work. Many, many people told us how much they loved the pizzas and some demonstrated to me they had already written a review here on FB - I love that! 19.01.2022 Hi Afficionados, Well, things are lightening and it’s starting to look better than what it has for a few months. I’ve noted on Facebook that some Canberra Pizza Caterers have forged ahead with likes, not sure how but it’s good for them. I congratulate them during the lockdown and preservative period.... It looks like we’re coming out of it, on the other side, and with a lot of precautions we can keep it going. It’s going to take a reasonable effort from all of us to make it keep going (safely) and with that, our catering will pivot to do our part to ensure our teams safety, our patrons safety and their guests safety. It’s going to take all of our efforts to go forward safely. I know I’m harping on ‘safety’ but I believe that’s what it will take to make a return to the ‘normal’ we had before COVID19. We’ll have hand sanitiser, face masks and pizzas in boxes until I hear otherwise from the Health advisers. I don’t like it, but it’s our ‘new normal’ until further notice. I’m encouraged by the number of enquiries we’ve had for the coming months/years and unfortunately I’ve had to add a ‘COVID19 Caveat’ that outlines a short notice cancellation policy due to a positive test at one of the events that we cater, which would result in our self isolation. What this means is: If a person tests positive at an event that we have catered, we are required to self isolate for 14 days, which would result in us having to cancel bookings within that period. We are a sociably responsible business and with that, we apologise up front for this ‘inconvenience’ but there isn’t much we can do about it. I’d rather be sociably responsible than be a part of a continued ‘outbreak’ in our region or the risk to the health of our staff, our patrons and our hosts. So moving forward, lets be positive, lets be safe and lets all of us do our part to come out of this pandemic in a positive manner. Cheers, Kev.

15.01.2022 Hey Afficionados, With some unlucky people being exposed to COVID19 due to lazy people and unwary people, it seems that Hall Markets won't be going forward in August. Sorry about that, we're still trying to do all that we can to ensure we can all move forward, but this is a team effort and we need all people to be working for the team (Team Australia!) and no one letting anyone else down...... So, the event will be held on September 3rd here in Canberra and we’re very excited to be a finalist for the second year in a row. We will have Kev’s daughter and her husband (who you may have seen cooking pizzas at your event) to represent us on the evening. ...
