20.01.2022 BIRDING SITES includes 270 birding sites from around Australia and island territories. The sites can be viewed by selecting from the list, or by using My Location to load the map with nearby sites. Functions include photos, texts, links to bird species, show on map, bird list and weather for the site.
18.01.2022 SIMILAR and COMPARE BIRDS is a great function for comparing and identifying similar species. SIMILAR birds loads a pre-selected list of birds similar to your selected species. The Identification Module can also be used to generate a list for Similar Birds. Tap the COMPARE button and the bird pages are shown in a split screen, with full swiping and scrolling functions of the bird page. You can compare illustrations, photos, distribution and text, or tap the bird image to compare the sound.
16.01.2022 MY LOCATION is a powerful tool for finding your current location, generating a bird list, viewing nearby birding sites, and recording GPS co-ordinates with your list. [Get List] on the nav bar will generate a bird list for your current or selected location.

11.01.2022 Pizzey and Knight is the only app that can be used as either a Field Guide or a Bird List, with essential functions available directly off both. The Field Guide is great if you are not sure of the species. Swipe through pages like a book, tap a bird to ID, and use direct functions like open the bird page, play the sound, add to your list or view similar birds. And there's a family list for direct access to any family group. The Bird List is equally easy to use if you know the bird you are looking for, with direct functions off the bird list including play the sound, add to your list, and open the bird page. Additional aids include bird icons, listing by family name, view similar birds, and of course open the field guide page. Birds added to your list are indicated in the checkbox.
