Thank you so much for supporting not only our small family business, but our local farmers & the very talented local product makers. (There will be so many lucky people receiving such beautiful & delicious goodies for Christmas). ... And thanks for being patient with a wonderful Christmas cheer. 22.01.2022 What did your long weekend look like? Our family took some well deserved time off & headed to beautiful Cabarita beach. Being small business owners, it's a 24/7- especially in fruit and veg.... We've learnt that if we don't make time, even if it's a few days to switch off with the kids, we don't ever switch off our business minds. The kids loved it, they literally swam the entire time. 22.01.2022 A perfect salad as the weather warms up, that combines two of our locally grown products- pecans & baby spinach. Spinach, apple and pecan salad INGREDIENTS... 1/2 cup pecans (local & organic) 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 stalks celery, finely sliced diagonally 75g spinach leaves (local) 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 teaspoon wholegrain mustard 2 royal gala or red delicious apples METHOD 1. Preheat oven to 180C or 160C fan-forced. Spread pecans on an oven tray, and roast for 4-5 mins, until fragrant and lightly toasted. Transfer to a plate to cool. 2. Quarter apples and remove cores. Cut lengthways into thin slices. Toss with lemon juice. Combine apple, celery and spinach in a large bowl. 3. Place vinegar, oil and mustard into a small screwtop jar. Shake to combine. Pour over salad and toss to coat. Add pecans and serve immediately. Locals supporting locals <3
