19.01.2022 2Unlimited Takes Line Honours in 2020 Tasports Maria Island Race In the slowest TasPorts Maria Island Race in some years, Greg Prescott’s 2Unlimited, skippered ...by Oliver Nicholas, took line honours at 08:40:56 this morning. 2Unlimited is also clubhouse leader in IRC and AMS handicap divisions with Peter Haros’ Wings Three leading on PHS. There are six boats still at sea and managing a range of light to moderate conditions. This is a major improvement on very light to non-existent breeze that prevailed for much of the race with seven boats retiring due to slow progress. As 2Unlimited crossed the line Stewart Geeves’ Footloose was passing the northern end of Maria Island with around 90 nautical miles to travel to the finish. https://yb.tl/tasportmaria2020 Photo: 2Unlimited at the start of the 180 nautical mile race.
