24.01.2022 Port Kennedy Respiratory Clinic has been established in partnership with the Australian Government Department of Health to provide free short-term care of respiratory illnesses. Port Kennedy Respiratory Clinic is co-located beside our GP practice, Core Medical, to provide the safest environment for assessment, treatment and COVID-19 testing. There is a separate external entry directly from the car park at Stargate Shopping centre. Anyone with any symptoms or signs of a resp...iratory illness such as a cough, sore throat, fever or a history of fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, headache, body ache or ear pain. You do NOT need to be a regular patient of Core Medical in order to attend and it is available for all people in the Port Kennedy area and beyond. Appointments are free, no fees apply as this service if funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. A Medicare card is NOT required, however another form of ID will be required to complete your registration.

23.01.2022 The Port Kennedy Respiratory Clinic, next door to Core Medical, is open for extended hours this week for testing anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms. Also, due to the confirmed case in Perth, we have also been given permission to test people with no symptoms who were in any of the locations of the confirmed case at the dates and times specified in the link below. Avoid queueing in the heat at COVID clinics, make an appointment online at www.pkrespclinic.com.au... https://healthywa.wa.gov.au//Locations-visited-by-confirme

09.01.2022 I have an important update on WA's controlled interstate border since this morning. Unfortunately, South Australia today recorded three local cases of COVID-19,... after recording no community transmission for an extended period of time. When we announced the new controlled border regime, we said any new community cases in other states or territories would be assessed in detail by the WA Chief Health Officer, to determine if any possible changes to our border controls were necessary. The WA Chief Health Officer has consulted with SA Health and reviewed the details of the new community cases and the current situation in South Australia. As a result, based on the latest health advice the following changes to WA’s controlled interstate border will come into effect immediately: Anyone arriving from South Australia at Perth Airport will now be tested for COVID-19 on arrival (or within 24 hours of arrival at another COVID clinic) and given a Direction to self-quarantine for 14 days in a suitable premise; These arrivals will also be required to be tested for COVID-19 on Day 11; Anyone arriving via road from South Australia will be given a Direction to self-quarantine for 14 days in a suitable premise and required to take a COVID-19 test on Day 2 and on Day 11; Anyone who arrived from SA earlier today and yesterday, via road or air, will be contacted by WA officials and will be required to be tested for COVID-19 in the next 48 hours and self-quarantine for 14 days. These are initial steps the State Government is taking to protect all Western Australians, and will be reviewed regularly. We will monitor the position in South Australia very closely and will strengthen measures if required. We understand these changes will cause frustration for many people, but these steps are being taken on the best health advice to protect everyone. The State Government thanks all arrivals for their patience and understanding during this difficult period.
