17.01.2022 ..And that’s all folks.. Yesterday was our last day for 2020! What an incredible year we have had. We started off with an unexpected pool closure due to the pool needing repairs and pool liner replacement to having to close our doors for FOUR MONTHS during COVID. ... But we came out of that dark tunnel & we reopened to a brand new look & lease on life. You should all be so proud We are so grateful for the consistent support & cooperation during this trying year. You have proven to be a community that the PK fam are so thrilled and proud to be a part of. You stuck by us, you helped us, you gave us hope that there was light at the end. THANK YOU! 16.01.2022 ..Happy Monday PK friends and fam.. Please make note of the following important information: We have been so overwhelming happy with the amount of re bookings and new comers to ... PK Swim School over the past few weeks. Due to the increasing numbers, we kindly ask for your cooperation on the following points- 1. ONE parent per child 2. ALL chairs MUST stay on the allocated yellow dots. 3. We ask that parents stay seated during your child/rens lesson/s. We can’t allow parents/guardians standing up in front of the pool area or on the ramp. 4. If there is no seating available upon arrival, our reception staff can take your children up to their lesson so they don’t miss out on precious swimming time. Once the previous session has exited the pool area, you can then make your way up. 5. Please don’t show up too early for your child/rens session; 5 mins before is plenty of time. **Remember our PK clock is set 5 minutes behind regular time due to the parking** By following these simple steps, we can keep all of our PK families safe & allow for a smooth transition between sessions. I’m sure we’re all so keen to see 2020 come to an end and will be putting on our wish lists for a much better year in 2021 Please save the following dates in your calendars for the 2020/2021 open & closures: Our last day for 2020 will now be- Saturday 19th December. Our first day back for 2021 will now be- Monday 11th January. Again, we will be applying our $20 deposit fee toward the 2021 return. **For our new families, this means when we process your December fees, there will be an additional $20 required if you wish to hold your child’s place for 2021. This can be used for holding fees if you will be away, or will simply go toward your January fees on return. *If you are choosing not to continue your child/rens swimming lessons in the new year, please inform Louise or Tashan at your next session. 13.01.2022 ..Not only did our learn to swim students in the indoor PK Centre enjoy safety week; our squad swimmers over at Dapto pool took part in the safety drills program as well. We know you will be safe during these school holidays and give your loving parents that peace of mind knowing you have these skills instilled in you for if there was ever an emergency. Well done everyone

12.01.2022 ..NOTICE TO ALL PARENT BABIES CLASSES!! If you have a child in the parent babies classes, we will allow 1 parent in the water with the child and 1 parent on pool deck to observe; HOWEVER, if both parents, guardians etc choose to attend, the parent not getting in the water must wait in the foyer (if capacity allows) until the class has started. Once the parent and baby are in the water, and reception has advised of numbers on pool deck, you can make your way to observe your c...hild’s lesson. Once the class has come to an end and the parent and child are coming toward the pool steps to exit the water, the parent observing MUST vacate the pool deck and wait outside or in the foyer if we are not at capacity in that area. We strive to keep all our families safe during these trying times and will do our very best to maintain the required steps to protecting each and every one of our family members. We have just received an email from the Dapto Trading Center’s real estate agents informing us that there will be construction workers replacing the speed humps in the trading centre tomorrow. Please plan your trip with delays expected. ... We suggest leaving a few extra minutes earlier than normal to avoid missing your child/rens lesson. If there is unavailable street parking, there is plenty of spaces in the overflow car park opposite the train station with a short walk around to the swim school. They have currently blocked off the exit driveway and therefore there is only one way access in and out. Please allow extra travel time and be cautious of the delays on Marshall Street. ... 10.01.2022 ..Today is the day! We are thrilled to be reopening our doors from today (Monday 20th July) We welcome back all our amazing families and friends and cannot wait to see all your children back in the pool swimming and learning. ... There are some new rules & regulations due to the current COVID situation. We have made the necessary changes to ensure the safety of our families. On arrival, there will be only 1 parent/guardian per child/ren allowed into the swim school. That parent will need to sign in by scanning a QR code with their phones. This may take some getting used to for the first week or two, but it will become our new normal and will indeed become a lot easier. If your phone is not equipped with the technology, parents will be required to fill out a form with their details. Please take note of our entry and exit paths. Reception will be guiding all our families until we are all used to the new way of protocol. PK staff are so excited and cannot wait to see you all back from today.

A foundation now very close and dear to the PK family after the sudden impact it had on our dear John. We are so pleased to announce John is doing well; he still has such a long road of recovery to go, however so overjoyed that he is still with us & making incredible milestones each week. ... 02.01.2022 ..Happy Monday mums, dads, grandparents & friends We would like to take this opportunity in using our platform by sharing some news & info with you all. Understandably the following is quite lengthy, however we would be sincerely grateful if you took a few moments to read. Most of you have often seen our wonderful family member, friend & colleague John around the swim school. He is often seen going up & down the stairs, smiling & greeting families in reception & taking grea...t care of the pool itself. Some of you may have recently noticed John’s absence. Many of you have asked out of curiosity, How’s Jonno? What is he up to? Has he been fortunate enough to scurry away on a nice little getaway? His family most definitely wishes this was true. Almost 3 weeks ago, as he was preparing his morning for his weekly game of golf; John suffered a stroke. He was rushed to hospital & underwent an extremely risky surgery. We are so thankful & pleased to share John came through surgery & is on his long road to recovery. He will have many months of multiple therapies, but we are hopeful & optimistic he will get through this with great determination & strength. With that being said, this November our awesome reception manager & swim coach Louise is taking part in Stroke Foundation’s Stride4Stroke to help prevent, treat and beat stroke. In Australia, one stroke occurs every 9 minutes. It is one of Australia's biggest killers. Stroke attacks the brain, the human control centre, changing lives in an instant. The impact of stroke can be devastating for the individual and the family. However, the impact of stroke can be prevented, with research indicating that around 80 percent of strokes are preventable. Louise has picked my Stride4Stroke activity goal and she is ready to go! Please support my Stride4Stroke challenge with a donation today. Your donation will help the Stroke Foundation support those affected right now and fund research to help prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery.
