25.01.2022 We are looking forward to celebrating on Friday Night at the Greater Springfield Chamber Of Commerce Marquee Awards Night. We are so excited to have made Finalist for the Professional Services Award for 2020. This year has been tough for everyone and that hasn't been all that much to celebrate. With Christmas fast approaching, this is a good time to let our hair down and enjoy ourselves finally. We hope to see many familiar faces on the night! Good luck to all of the Finalists.

25.01.2022 Goodbye 2020, its been... well... ugh... interesting. Hello 2021! Unleash the Tax Returns ... On a more serious note.. The ATO site is down... Like I say every year, no need to stampede and get your tax return lodged on day 1, only for it to get stuck in a Computer Glitch Limbo for the next 2 months... I recommend waiting until at least the 7th of July for them to come back from whatever holiday they go on every year, fix all the bugs in the system and let us know that all the patches have been installed!

25.01.2022 JobKeeper Update- MAY- Have you reported your Monthly Declaration? Reporting for May is due by 14th June.

24.01.2022 So I have been tagged a few times in this Love Song, so thought I might share for all. I love you too hahaha

23.01.2022 Celebrating the end of a very tough year with my amazing staff. They deserve a break before it gets extrenely busy again for us . Thanks Dom for a delicious lunch!

23.01.2022 Our office will be closed for a Lunch Networking Event today. Thank you for your understanding.

23.01.2022 Our Phone Systems are currently down. Please email us at [email protected] if the matter is urgent and we can get back to you as quickly as we can. We apologize for any inconvenience, and promise we arent on holiday! (we wish)

22.01.2022 We are short on staff today and this week (Paula is solo in the office) I promise it is NOT because we had too big of a weekend celebrating... although it certainly looks like it. Please bear with us, it might take us a little longer to manage your query.

22.01.2022 These lovely ladies enjoyed the break from the computer screens today! Amy won best dressed "lady" and I won $8 on sweeps. I think Katrina cleaned up overall! #melbournecup2020

19.01.2022 Not sure what you can claim? Check in with us before booking in with us to get your tax done to get the most out of your return. In ALL expenses though it is important to remember: - you must have spent it - you were not reimbursed for it - you have kept receipts/appropriate records.... You also need to tell us what you do... we have had a lot of emails from new clients asking us what they can claim with no indication what they do for work . There are specific rules that differ between industries (nurses, hairdressers, tradies are unlikely to incur the same expenses).

19.01.2022 Its time to do your BAS! - https://mailchi.mp/00cad0b7/its-time-to-do-your-bas-7871929

18.01.2022 ATO Have issued a warning on people who illegally accessed their super when they werent eligible. Looks like the fine is more than the money, so lets hope it was worth it!

15.01.2022 We are so excited to announce that we have made Finalists for the Professional Services Award this year with the Greater Springfield Chamber Of Commerce Marquee Business Awards 2020. It was such an honour to win the Business of the Year Award last year, and with such a horrible year this year, it is really nice to celebrate the end of the year on this note. Good luck to all of the Finalists and we look forward to celebrating with you at the end of the Month.

10.01.2022 Every year during tax season we do our little to give back. Not everyone can afford to donate, so we do our part during our busy periods. $5 from every personal income tax return completed during the period July- October will be donated to The Childrens Hospital Foundation. This year I have chosen for personal reasons. We had an extended visit in January with our youngest daughter who became very sick with Necrotic Pneumonia. The Support we received from the Queensland Chi...ldrens Hospital was absolutely fantastic, and it is because of them we have a happy story to tell. You can make your own donation by clicking the link below. Donations made to Deductible Gift Recipients (DGR) are tax deductible. You should always check who you are making a donation to.

09.01.2022 If you are paying your staff the minimum award wage, you will need to check your Award for any increases effective 01 July.

09.01.2022 Meet the Team: (Season 2!). Last year we did a "meet the team" series, where we showcased our awesome employees that keep the cogs turning at P&L! With Covid-19 thrust into our lives in 2020, no one is quite yet ready to do another photo shoot to update our profiles, but we do want to share with you our newest staff member. Welcome KATRINA! Katrina is our newest recruit. She is brave and fearless and we absolutely love her. She joined us right at the beginning of Covid-19 whe...n the world was full of uncertainty, and we hadnt yet learnt new words like JobKeeper and Cashflow Boost. She took a chance on us, and we are so glad that she did. She is incredibly smart and is a real asset to our team. She has joined forces with Rachel to be Paulas support with 2 senior accountants. Katrina has 2 beautiful little bubs, a couple of dogs and a husband that keep her busy when she isnt working crazy odd hours with us. See more

03.01.2022 Last night we celebrated in style.... after a super tough year we let out hair down at the Greater Springfield Chamber Of Commerce Marquee Business awards. We won the Professional Services Industry Award and we are so stoked to have done so! I am so incredible blessed to represent this industry, and have the amazing support of my Husband this year. Without his support, I don't know that I could have come through this as unscathed mentally as I did! #Businessoftheyear2019 #Professionalservices2020

03.01.2022 SUPERANNUATION: To Maximise your Business Tax Deductions before 30 June, please ensure June Quarter Superannuation Contributions are paid before the Clearing House Cut off Date. Most advice is to allow up to 2 weeks for processing. #EOFY #Superannuation #TaxDeductions2020 #SGC

03.01.2022 Jobkeeper 3.0 (I wonder how many more changes will be made before it kicks off in October). As I suspected, today the Government announced a further change to JobKeeper (Now called 3.0). This does not affect your current JobKeeper payments until the next stage in October when you need to reasses your eligibility.... The main changes for Jobkeeper 3.0 are To be eligible for the October December Quarter, we compare your drop in Turnover for your Most recent Quarter- (September) versus the year before. New Employees may also be included with the Goalpost shifting from 01/03/2020 01/07/2020 (12 Month rule still applies for Casuals). All other aspects remain the same, with the payments reducing from $1,500 per fortnight to $1,200 per fortnight.

01.01.2022 URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT: With the latest update regarding Covid-19 and contact tracing underway for Springfield Lakes area, we will be cancelling all Face-Face appointments until further notice. If you have an appointment booked in with us over the next few weeks, we will be contacting you shortly to change to ZOOM (online) or reschedule to another time. Thank you for your understanding. *Note this decision was not made lightly. In January my daughter was extremely sick with Necrotic Pneumonia at the age of 4. Having faced a severe respiratory illness recently in my family, it is important that we all do our part to stop the spread.
