Place Design Group were engaged by Dexus to transform the existing forecourt area into an inviting, accessible, multi-purpose seating area for workers and passersby. 11.01.2022 Our team were thrilled to be invited to Campbelltown City Council, NSW’s official opening of Variety Livvi’s Place Glenfield over the weekend. It was magical to see the community come together to celebrate the opening of this amazing new inclusive play space. Place Design Group lead a team of consultants to deliver the concept/detailed design and construction stage services of the project (working closely with the amazing inclusive play team at Variety - the Children’s Chari...ty NSW & ACT's and the great open spaces team at Campbelltown City Council). Built by Simpson Landscapes, this space delivers on the community consultation outcomes and includes a fully accessible custom clock tower (designed by Place Design Group and developed and constructed by Fleetwood Urban). This is truly a place where everyone can play, regardless of ability. 07.01.2022 At the base of the beautiful Blue Mountains now sits, stage 2 of the Glenbrook District Park inclusive play space. Place Design Group worked closely with Blue Mountains City Council and the local community throughout the concept design stages of the project to deliver a final play space that provides much needed challenging play experiences for older children (7-12 year olds). The space has been designed with inclusion at the forefront of every decision and includes a clearly... defined entry, accessible loop path, intergenerational play, accessible play experiences (trampolines, swings, flying fox) as well as supporting design features (including quiet break-out spaces, wayfinding signage, shade structures, picnic shelters, backed seats and drinking fountains)!
