17.01.2022 Place Value ‘Words to Numbers’ requires students to associate written words with numbers, and then to build this number. This can also be played as a listening exercise where the teacher or support staff member says a number, or the student must retain it in their head, before building it.

MAB blocks are a fantastic resource, and completely complementary with the Place Value Twister. They are particularly useful when trying to explain the concept of internal zeroes, as students see the necessity of each and every digit even those pesky zeroes!
